My friend with the best body, just goes in with no plan. He just goes around doing the opposite movements of the previous excercises. Which is essentially just push pull legs.

Do whatever you enjoy doing the most as long as you hit the right muscle groups. If you get super passionate about it you can fine tune for growth.

Personally I think calisthenics is the most satisfying to see strength gains. Doing 1/2/3/4 is fun and all. But being able to to do more pull-ups and muscle ups, makes me feel a lot better.

1 pl8 means 1 (one) plate on the barbell on each side.
When not specified it's always a 20 kg (or 45lbs in burger units) plate. Also standard weight of a standard barbell in your commercial gym is also 20 kg or 45 lbs.
So a 225 bench or 2 plates or a 100 kgs bench is two 20 kg plates each side of a barbell so 40+40 and barbell on it's own for another 20 kg. You always count the bar and not just on a bench press.

If you want a chest day then bench, incline bench, chest flys, and dips are your go-to
If you're doing only 3 days a week then you want a push day where you're doing bench, OHP/shoulder press, incline bench, and tricep pushdowns/skull crushers, fit in dips if you can because they do work.
Never skip the compound movements, you can find variations that work best for you but you do not skip the big six until you're well past the point of being an oobie

i never worked out at all and i could bench 130 pounds straight off the bat (admittedly half my weight at the time).

getting pinned is more about miscalculating your own rate of fatigue. lift a 25 pound weight a thousand times and see if you can put it back on the rack. you should always have a sweaty friend and his crotch to help you.

Ignore the others, you don't even need caloric surplus to hit 60 kg on bench in a fucking year. If you're 20-25% bf it's clear you're not attempting a bodyweight bench here. You quite simply haven't applied yourself or you have 0 knowledge of progressive overload. Take whatever weight you are currently benching and add +1 kg your next session. You could almost certainly do larger increments, especially in the beginning. Unless you're severely underweight, a 1 plate bench is attainable in a month, two at most. Even someone starting with an empty bar can do it in two months, you're not even building muscle bu lt adapting your nervous system to handle the load effectively. This is why beginners can get a 3 plate squat in 3 months, it's mostly just your body learning the movement and getting better at it.

Because the weight isn't as stable you'll always be limited by your CNS and as a result can't lift as heavy. Meaning you won't be getting as strong as you could. For hypertrophy it's probably okay, but a lot of people also like to be strong.

To add, if you train 3x week and bench every other session that means in a month you bench 6 times, in a year it's 72 times. If you started with the empty bar you would be benching 92 kg in a year at that super unnecessarily conservative rate. Most people could handle that rate of progression to at least 80 kg before starting slow down, people with better leverages for bench could go past 100 kg without stalling once. When you're doing a pushup you're not pushing your whole body weight up, it's on an axis and in school you probably learned about how seesaws and winches work from a physics perspective.

For those who do want to get into self-development though, start with pushups. Proper ones. Do it slow as shit so you are doing the proper form after researching it.
You'll spend a month to three months for some not being able to go past 10 pushups despite almost daily workout. Don't sweat it, that's usual for a lot of people. You gotta break that initial barrier that punishes the mind. Your body is basically trying to adjust and taking its time. At a certain moment the body will start pushing you past the threshold and you'll be doing 20, 40, 100 pushups in no time.

That's better but still no vertical pulling movement, instead both workouts have a horizontal pull (row) for some reason. I'd switch one of the rows for weighted pullups/chinups instead. Squats get way more volume than the rest of the movements and deadlift gets shafted with only 5 reps and that's after already being tired from squats. I'd remove the squats from B and do deadlifts for more sets instead. Add facepulls back in too since most people have some posture issues and facepulls help with that. Shrugs are pointless for a beginner. Good exercise but more for advance lifters. Still, the core exercise selection is good and some curls don't hurt.

Starting Strength is the usual one, but honestly nigga, if you're fat and untrained, the most important thing is anything with consistency. Lardasses like to overthink things, get themselves on an unsustainable diet + plan that takes 3 hours out of their day, then use it as an excuse to drop it after less than a week.

Actually do your benching and pressing before squatting and deadlifting. I can definitely squat or deadlift so heavy it fucks up my upper body pressing, but usually not the other way around. Also don't be afraid to switch the exercises around, some people prefer squating and pressing on the same day, some people hate pressing and deadlifting on the same day etc. It really doesn't matter. I've seen them do some weird combination of shrugging and shoulder circles. The most common way to do it wrong of course is to load up a fuck ton of weight and use momentum to do 1/4 ROM "shrugs". Again, it's a good assistance movement for building a stronger deadlift but it's not something a beginner should bother with. If you want bigger traps and forearms just do farmer's walks, you can't cheat them either.

I've also seen people loading up 3 plates and then quartersquatting with a round back. Like I said, you can injure yourself doing practically anything wrong in the gym. So just don't do things wrong. The fact someone was already asking advice in this thread tells me that they're doing some form of research. I don't care what some "normal person" does at the gym. They can even skip deadlifts for all I care. But to anyone actually wanting coaching, I'd say picking up objects off the ground is pretty damn useful in life. at 85kg (fluctuating between 85-87ish) when I was at my strongest after started regularly training for a year I hit my pb of 155kg, there is no way I was advanced let alone almost "elite" level. going from untrained to advanced in a year is crazy because I had no fking idea what I was doing.
I stopped not that long after that and never seriously or regularly benched afterwards, so I don't know what I could have gotten to, but jfc there is no way.

first your nervous system and technique improves fastly e.g. you go from benching 40 to 60 in few weeks or months

second you start to build muscle up to a set point and you go from 60 to 90 in a year or so

Chase knew the risk he was making. He did what heroes do, and he's passing the baton to Robert. He wants Robert's trust in her to be right, but he's enough of a hero that he would have probably still saved her anyway.
The hate should fall entirely to who alerted the villains to the location of the item. Be it Shroud hacking the cameras to look, or a mole in the group selling everyone else out.
And if it turns out that the villains just coincidentally figured it out at the same time without any outside meddling, then the hate should go to the writers.

The thing you have to remember is you're most likely talking to obese amerifats. So when they say that 74kg bench isn't impressive that's because they personally weigh 100kg or much more. They dont understand that strength is measured relative to your body weight and while it varies per exercise, being unable to bench your own body weight at least means you're not strong, objectively. Throwing out lift numbers is absolutely meaningless information if you don't include your height and weight. Powerlifters compete in weight classes (like any other serious sport) for a reason.

First of all, why should you include children in a conversation about how much the average guy can bench? It's very obvious why there's no point in including pre-pubescent boys.
Second, most of the weightlifting averages come from self-reports of people who are on average more serious about lifting, like strengthlevel.com etc. Your average dyel doesn't visit those sites so the averages there are already fucked. Try taking a random untrained man off the street and let him attempt to bench 60 kg. It won't happen unless they're already active to begin with, in which case they are not really untrained, depending on their activity. The random, average 85 kg guy won't bench 60 kg their first time.

basically you are saying that there is an upward bias, that reported numbers are too high because people who train report more often. that is not true. researchers invite random people to a controlled environment to test their strength.

For some reason you're arguing semantics and are attempting to derail the original argument. To anyone else it's very clear this thread has been about adult males and not males without arms. You're also explaining very basic things about statistics, maybe in an attempt to ridicule or otherwise patronize me. For someone claiming I have nothing valuable to add you sure put a lot of effort into ignoring the subject.
If you look up research papers on strength levels, it shows very clearly that most untrained men anywhere can't bench 60 kg. I even checked strengthlevel and a site which is used by weightlifters, not untrained individuals, shows that a beginner male weighing 85 kg benches 58 for 1RM. They define beginners as lifters that have about a month of experience. So even that biased source claims that around 60 kg bench is beginner, not untrained weight. Research papers on actual untrained males would report much lower numbers.
You don't have to punish others just because you decided to major in statistics.
