Man, the fact that switch 2 sold 4.5 million last quarter surprised even me. 7 million this quarter, and that's a bare minimum.

Just look at the software lineup for switch 2. Is anybody actually playing them? Donkey kong was supposed to be big and its just forgotten like it was nothing, kids dont even realise how long its been since the last 3d donkey kong.

The biggest game of the generation will be gta6 which wont even be on switch. Every kid will be playing that game. Then look at the other games, arc raiders, bf6, cod, fifa even fortnite is played on everything but switch. Nintendo have prioritised short term success over long term gains.

What's the deal with Square Enis fans having such a burning hatred for Nintendo, I recommend that if they want to turn their situation around that they pivot towards Nintendo because it's the largest growth platform for core gaming in Japan as well as the rest of the world, but then they lose their shit. Squaresoft did this in the 90s going to PSX from Snes, going from PS5 to Switch 2 makes the most sense, but I have this niggling feeling that they are going to be part of a big push for the PSP3 for it's launch.

The answer these days is always China. China imports A LOT of consoles to sell on the gray market and that's been happening for a while now. But China is mostly PC gamers so the Switch 2 is the most appealing of consoles for them because PC plays the games the other consoles have.
