You can say that's not much compared to the total 94%, but Asian countries usually have lower score (maybe they just like complaining, I don't know). For example, in Japan, the game has 90% positive, so that's only 4% more.
Whether Chinese players forgot that Nine Sols' devs had made that one game that made fun of China (Devotion, removed from Steam), or they just don't care, it seems they generally judged the game fairly.
Would Awards decide to ignore Nine Sols just to not make China angry? Well, a good question.
But there's another matter to consider. Not that many people played Nine Sols before the awards. It seems at least over 50% of reviews on Steam were written between December 2024 and now.
