I feel both games are in different tiers. The first Last of Us is pretty good all around without really achieving the peak that everyone here has seen in their favorite games.
Horizon is just mediocre in every aspect and it’s impressive. The bottom doesn’t fall out but not is exceptional or great aside from the graphics I guess.
What really soured me was when the prince of a tribe proposes to you, a good deal for Alloy and you are given three flavors of no for dialogue options. Fuck off
Both games justify that big tv screen more than the console I feel like. Anyone who marvels at how much money a game has while not being broken from that immersion by bugs (which neither do, they are tightened up) will love them.
Because those people, as other anons have said, are not truly invested in the hobby to understand or care what could be better out there.
