Yeah. It depends on compatibility overall though. I had old phone with snapdragon 865 laying around so i use it as emulation machine now and a lot of games work well. Recently completed Castlevania Lords of Shadow games for example both ran in 720p high settings at 50-60fps. That chipset is 5 years old so pretty much ancient by smartphone standards so I was suprised how well some games run. I tried a lot titles from 2007 to 2020 and majority were playable at 30+ fps either on gamehub or winlator. Id easily could get something expensive but im just autismo and i fucking love to tinker around with shit like that plus I have pc with 5090 for current games lol. A lot of switch games on emulator run well too like RDR,Bulletstorm,Mario games and such but I havent tried a lot.

They have the exact same SoC. The Retroid 6 in Orange with Stick on top looks outrageously sexy and I want one bad. However Winlater will run worse on it since it only has 12GB of RAM and PC emulation demands RAM. Saw some games running on the Thor and they were all easily exceeding 12GB.

The Max 16 is basically the perfect Winlater handheld (that chip is the primary focus for support in PC emulation). I wouldn't get an 8 Elite handheld to emulate Switch on however since there still are no MESA drivers for it. The actual MESA group said they have NO PLANS to support it so you'd be waiting a good long while likely. I also think the Odin 3 has terrible colors but that is pretty normal for AYN. Black or Rainbow are pretty much the only choices IMO. But for everything else not Switch, it is probably pretty dope. A bit too expensive to justify to me but it is the same general form factor and screen as the Retroid Pocket 6 so a solid choice so long as you fully understand the situation the 8 Elite is in for drivers. You'll be waiting at least a year for Turnip/MESA drivers to get games functioning for Switch emulation. That is optimistic too. But PC emulation, streaming, Wii/older and PS3 emulation (honestly I'm not familiar with PS3 emulation on Android so you should definitely ask someone else, could be it is trash, I've only tried Sackboy Adventure on my 8 Elite phone) you should be good to go.

I got a $50 chinkheld because fuck it, even if it explodes who cares. I'd like one of these more pricey models but I just do not trust the build quality at all, it doesn't matter what you say to me. I do like the idea of them existing, I still have my 3ds but hardware doesn't last forever, hopefully by the time my old systems die they've fully ironed out these ripoffs.

I still have my New3DSXL but I tested out some emulators on my phone just to compare 3ds on an OLED with a stylus off Amazon. It works fucking fine. The glass screen feels different sure but it's not like using the 3DS touchscreen was some sort of precious orgasmic sensation.
