I'm playing as Milan and I've grown strong enough to become a great power. I've also conquered the province of Genoa which is the market center but my money generation is still shit. So if you have 10 regiments of 200 professionals fighting vs 10 regiments of 1000 levies on a frontline, professions will get annihilated, especially considering they are pretty much no different in other stats from levies.
