The game comes out after years of waiting, story mode is short and first half is filled with shitty minigames that have nothing to do with football, they didn't even bother to make a full team of characters and instead gave us some characters to pick from who don't have a role in the story and barely talk, the actual football matches are few and with just a handful of new techniques (some of which are reskins of previous ones). You can't even scout other characters until what? chapter 7 out of 9? and to do this you have to follow a retarded calendar to know when each character can be recruited. The "extended story" aka postgame has you fight only 1 team, with zero new techniques. Chronicle mode only shows you the matches and skips everything that happens between them, they didn't even make a written recap, so if you're new to the series or don't remember something you'll be missing a lot of context. Btw the three "games" that were never released in the west and actually had new characters and techniques that you might want to try were left out of this mode, DESPITE THE 8000 DELAYS, and will only be added in the next 3 months (unless they... delay them again?). Game is filled with bugs both in story and chronicle mode, some of which haven't been fixed yet and can lock you out of progressing story mode. Online matches are a shitfest where level 10 players are matched with level 99 ones, and they managed to fuck up the keyboard controls too.
And the english dub, for the (few, I hope) people who might be interested in it, is horrible.
And all of this for the extremely reasonable price of 70 bucks, despite the game being incomplete, having outdated graphics and having used AI to cut costs.
I know I'm sperging out and sound like the "stop having fun" meme, but I had high hopes for this game and it's sad to see so much potential go completely wasted.
