Yeah I'm kinda confused on that whole aspect. Like oh yeah, the Lifestream uses your spirit energy to recycle physical life, but also it manifests as green goop that causes horrific mutations and brain cancer, and then turns into crystals which can be imbued by people, living or dead apparently, to have them manipulate the metaphysical stream itself into doing whatever the fuck they want, including, but not limited to: lighting a cigarette, blowing a fart across town, reviving an orphan's parents, and also... manipulating the gravitational pull of the planet to attract a nearby celestial body to collide with it... huh?
