Is there any record of a previously old vidya company, now bankrupt or in dire straits, dissapearing from the public AAA news, and actually make a successfully comeback maybe 10 years later, or under a new company name?

I feel like this is what Rare should do already. All their IPs are dead or in a zombie-like state, they won't recover, period. What are the odds of they simply starting from scratch and make a simple indie level game or some shit and see if that becomes a starter hit?
