Yeah, it sucks they don't give you many options to add any sort of accessory to your gear. But that's the issue when you don't have modular customization. Maybe one day they will expand the armory (aside from adding champion pieces I mean) or outright overhaul it. The latter is cope and doubtful.

I'm hoping they've learned their lesson for Space Marine 3. What we have now is limited in a really painful way. We should be able to free place objects such as Purity Seals wherever we want. The chest and midsections shouldn't be together. All objects should be fully customizable in terms of colors, not this random mish-mash where some can be customized and others can't. Helmets should separate the forehead, sides and visors etc.

This is a system that has an obscene amount of potential if the devs are willing to put in the elbow grease.

idk if i should use the higher damage purple weapons or not. the break points are cool, but the attack speed is literally half. like power rake's animation fucking up since there is such a long cooldown after attacking. the damage does feel powerful though, i am not sure whats up with the damage calculation, but 25% base damage feels more like 70%

Those are the siege class challenges, not the ordeals. They start from scratch every time you play the mode and give you extra points to buy things during that specific run. Any build that can't easily complete these quests is at a noticeable resource deficiency in siege mode.

Iron Hands will get their season sometime after Thunder Warriors vanity pack gets its release.
But, honestly, it would be the best moment to do give them cybernetic wargear, clan decals etc. Hell they have enough successors to warrant a whole chapter cosmetics pack.I know Gee Dubs pretend they basically don't exist and they are pretty bland, but the potential is there. Depends how they'd slice it.

Saber haven't even officially announced that Techmarine is going to be the new class. Have they? As far as the official narrative goes, they *are* working on a new class but we only know it's going to be techmarine from leaked entries in the game files. At this point he might get a release during 9.0 or 10.0 patch. We don't know.

Looking at some of the entries there is a case to be made that Saber set the stage to make chaos playable in the future. Or maybe they will be making mixed waves where nids and chaos fight in a battle-royale type wave and players have to finish them off.

even if your weapon does not have built in headshot multiplies, all enemies have built in head shot multipliers. its to the point where if you are not head shotting then dont bother shooting your weapon because it better to jog over and melee. i do think console bias is why enemies are bullet sponges. imagine if nids were truly countless billions and you did not even have enough bullets for each gaunt

So, i very often fall into the same situation and heres what ive personally found:
You basically have to spam your Block/Parry after it registers from the first hit, for some ungodly reason the whip has misaligned parry-frames and damage-frames, at least thats what im assuming is happening here, because if i block/parry earlier than i should with the 2hit whip bullshit, it always works
But anytime i actually try to time it properly? yeah, that webm
It's been driving me nuts the past few weeks and no one ever responded to me talking about it either, so i had to test these cunts myself

You had good cover and should have stayed there to use it, but besides that you jumped at a very poor time.
You could not really see what the shielded thrope was doing, and the one you jumped had not attacked for a second or two, meaning it would attack soon. Should have waited for it to attack so you could dodge easily or use the cover, then go for the jump immediately after, that ensures it would be recovering.
Ideally you would have also checked to see if the other thrope had attacked recently or if its aggro was focused on a squad mate.

These are all things I have learned from fighting them as a Melta Vanguard and learning when to use the hook and start blasting melta.
But again, in your particular situation you really should have used cover for longer, at least until you can get the perfect opening as I described.

Highly recommend the new Angron Red paint for your Blood Angels when the DLC drops. A little more muted and matte instead of bright and glossy, I personally think it looks much better. Helps the preset battle damage on the armor stand out a little more which adds texture.

The last one is subtle in how broken it is, because it has unmentioned interactions with his shield block. Heavy ranged attacks that would stagger you into taking a second hit are now tanked to full effect. Bulwark is capable of blocking every single one of the 3-4 successive charged shots from a Helbrute.

A simple buff I'd make before even changing the stats of perks is shuffling around two specific perks.

I would swap the places of both Precision Strike and Manoeuvrability. The logic behind this is you can still take both of these for a standard Jump Pack build, but now you can take Manoeuvrability for a Wings of Flame jump dodge build to keep the charges up as fast as possible. The additional logic is that Precision Strike fucking sucks cock with Zealous Blow, it's not an ideal combination due to the reduced AOE impact zone. So you're not really missing anything here.

After that, I'd buff the following-

>Squad Cohesion
All Squad Members' Abilities recharge 20% faster

>Smiting Angel
Ground Pound radius increased by 30% /// +10% damage is worthless, and Precision Strike is already your main damage buff. You can either reduce the radius penalty of Precision Strike at the cost of losing out on Manoeuvrability, or improve the effectiveness of Zealous Blow.

the real show of incompetence is their nitpicking in dealing with issues, instead of just adjusting key points that are the root of the issue they fight symptoms.

the issue of nonexistent readability is especially true for block weapons. no tooltips for any of that, no explanation how adrenaline stacks actually work. new players are entirely dependant on having experienced players explain it to them. this is also true for stuff like pommel strike actually counting as the shield bash when you are using thammer on bulwark.

but what really drives me up the wall is that you have all this retarded weapon sharing and assault STILL sucks ass. the class did not get any meaningfull buff since release, despite clearly needing it.
at launch there was a short misinfo flying around that sniper is underpowered, but people quickly realized that assault actually is the class that sucks the most. he got almost nothing since then. even the stuff he gets via prestige absolutely PALES in comparison to the MMO-flowchart shit vanguard & sniper got. and both of those classes are already top picks without any prestige perks.

So much shit can stagger you out of the blue, like a Majoris attacking somebody else and phasing through them into you, or the Biovore's potential wall stagger lock where it blasts you at close range, it pushes you into a wall which has a longer stagger animation, which guarantees the next melee pounce back into the face blast again on loop, or the dreaded double Majoris triple combo stagger lock which will just outright down you unless someone intervenes fast.

If you equip the Full Throttle move swap perk, and then hold the button just a little bit but not too long, you're able to skip into the second light attack and then shoulder barge spam. Vanguard feels strong because he has lots of outs for terrible mistakes. Once you get the heal on Extremis execute, he's by far the easiest to solo Absolute with, because he constantly gets free medkits in a mode where almost none exist. Bulwark when perked up and played properly just never takes damage and bursts anything stupid enough to get close to him, AND he's immune to ranged damage and ranged stagger.

get into better position for your character skill, move into engage priority targets while clicking your contested health back, you absolutely can pop spore mines or stagger or headshot gaunts that are going to melee you. if you are dodging devourers or chaos marine shots, more movement is better since they calculate your velocity and where you will be but if you are far enough away walking while aiming is fine. the only classes that wouldnt benefit much is tact and sniper, heavy would still find use if you are using your halo proactivly, although even tact can make use of mobility to utilize his aoe execute damage.

with the bolt pistol its often better to click and hit 4/6 shots while moving than it is to stand there and hit 3/4 shots in the same amount of time, especially if you are putting a majoris into execute while positioning or killing ranged minoris

This seems to go in waves or something. Back when I first started playing it took me quite a while (certainly a dozen runs or such) to even learn that coming across the bridge was a possibility. Then there was a period of only bridge assaults. Then back again, some periods seemingly mixed. No idea what causes it, if they are secretly changing some variables behind the scenes from time to time or just weird luck/programming, but both types of attacks can and do happen still and it just swings from one extreme to the other.
Same with other objectives. Obelisk tunnels have two paths and I tend to see a lot of one and then a lot of the other rather than an even mix (when I'm actually playing the mission).

Light heavy heavy light heavy heavy light etc is a good all-rounder combo for it
The trick is that unlike every other weapon in the game where you tap for light and hold for heavy, the knife SWITCHES between light and heavy on hold and continues current combo on tap
So the combos are confusing to get down
Other than that, just make extra sure not to be surrounded at all

I also like taking both the alternate attacks, shoulder bash is really quick and shadow stab is a nice utility tool if the enemy doesn't walk away from it

Based on bolt shells, a single gaunt takes about as much damage to kill as some of the tankier elites in darktide. Warriors eat entire bolter mags without even being staggered. And that's assuming the human-sized bolter in darktide does exactly as much damage as the full size space marine bolters. Not to mention the fact a warrior is probably hitting a reject as hard as a crusher per attack.
It would be like if you replaced all the regular chaff in a darktide wave entirely with maulers or ragers and then added a bunch of even tankier crushers that regularly do combos that outrange any reject's melee weapon. Then there's the ranged enemies which are also as durable as ragers or crushers and would probably instantly down any reject if they get hit.
Then you get into extremis that would need the entire squad to focus to kill in a reasonable time frame, which obviously wouldn't be possible if everyone's fighting for their lives against 50 gaunts and 10 warriors.
It would be the most difficult darktide mission by far even on SM2's lowest difficulty, some of the higher difficulties probably wouldn't even be theoretically possible.

the multiplayer pve is a grind. each of the 6 classes have experience levels to unlock perks, and each weapon has experience to unlock weapon perks. see theres a money counter on the right corner you use to unlock hier teir weapons after leveling them up. the single player campaign is pretty good. its a bit short, but its decent, like when games used to be good around when halo 3 came out. but there arent any other games you can play as a space marine so we have to deal with it

You're getting PvP and PvE content (though it's insulting to call the former "content"). PvE is meat and potatoes of SM2. You get 9 Co-op operations that tie-in and later expand the campaign, with more ops to come later(tm) and on 26th they are releasing Siege mode which is a wave-based survival mode (look up 'Siege mode SM2' if you want to see how it looks in practice.

Grind itself? In short you will need to level up your guns to unlock perks and weapon variants of each tier (some guns are shared across different classes so those are one and done). You do that with currency called armory data.

And as for overall leveling you have 25 levels to go through. On top of it there are 4 prestige levels, each one resets your class to level 1 (weapons remain untouched), once you reach 25 again you're clear to move to the next prestige level and you gain a perk for that. Essentially there are 125 levels per character if you decide to prestige.

Oh, and there are in game challenges - ordeals, that reward you with yet another set of currency that you use to unlock entries in database. After reaching a certain number of unlocks you will receive minor cosmetics.

All things considered it's a solid game, it's just the devs that often make decisions one makes while being high as a kite.

We won't get any new faction that's fleshed out in SM2. That's for sure. But in SM3 I would love to see Boyz return or World Eaters for chaos at least.
Knowing Saber though, they might think it's 'cool' to include something different so they would go for Tau or Dark Eldar. Unlikely due to GW, but still... Anyway ranged combat is fine but T'sons rely on it too much.
I would love to see Necrons and Orkz, but I think Necrons wouldn't be too nice to fight against.

I got a couple games two nights ago.
You can at least get some of the points from playing (not winning) games of each type.
The assault ground pound kills is the easiest. Just spend two jump pack charges doing ground pounds and you'll rack up 5 kills in no time.
Hell it's so easy I've gotten 10+ kills through ground pounds alone sometimes.

Assault’s ability is really the only one that you can just kill yourself by using huh? Tactical can’t get punished for a bad Auspex, Bulwark for a bad banner, or Sniper for a bad cloak other than just the opportunity cost of not having it during a crucial moment. Even Vanguard is 100% immune to all damage while he uses grapnel. But Assault? Fly up in the air while a warrior sniper is on the field, and you lose your entire HP bar from it.
