How do I filter my matchmaking in ranked to only pair me with people that have a higher MR than I have so the game isn't such a random fuckfest where I am constantly gambling with people 200 MR below me that might destroy an hour of playing if I lose a single match even though rounds are decided in 2-3 interactions with forced mixups that barely change from gold to legend rank?
I know the current meta is hating on SF6, but I just bought the Year1+2 version of game because of the Ingrid announcement and finally gave some use to my dusty PS5. I've only played 20 hours of grinding on training vs CPU to not embarrass Ingrid online when she comes out next year, and World Tour to unlock her classic costume fast. I have to say that at the least it that "AAA" game feel. Like yeah, some characters look a bit uncanny, but overall? I think it feels great and is visually nice, it's definitely better than the the budget releases of Jive and IV back in the day. Also, at this point everyone is like "oh yeah, I totally knew Ingrid was coming", but as an actual Ingridfag I have to say that, even with the teasing and the leak, it's still wild. She was made for a cancelled game, turned into a 2D fighter for a glorified Mugen game, and then she was just ported as is to a PSP port of Alpha 3. The fact that she is appearing in anything approaching an AAA game is absolutely insane to me, and I say this as someone that loves her. Anyway, thanks for reading my blog, and one last thing: throw loops suck because they look goofy as shit and they completely ruin WT because you can just go to any high level enemy and throw loop them in the corner. Anyway, in your screenshot I've circled in red inputs that shouldn't be there. To practice your inputs, you should first do them slow and perfect, too slow for the move to even come out, but speed them up slightly more each time until it comes out. Do down... down-left... left... down... down-left... left... button until you can do it without overshooting or flubbing, then do down, down-left, left, down, down-left, left, button until you can do THAT, and then finally do down-downleft-left-down-downleft-left-button and it should come out perfectly. It takes time and spaced repetition helps.

Okay I think I can finally move on. I performed Jump Heavy Kick into Crouching Heavy Punch, Into Medium Hundred Kicks, Into Cancel Soten Ranka atleast 3 times in a row, and technically 5 times total If i dont count the fact that I made sure to switch back to Crouching Medium Kick Hundred Kicks Soten Ranka cancel after the first successful Jump Heavy Kick start combo, to makes sure I had it down on lock.
That was really what I was trying to get down from the start. I dont have the patience anymore to keep practicing this shit, so the fact I was able to do the ultimate combo I was practicing for at all semi consistently rather than just part of it, is a success in my mind.
I still dont feel quite confident, since ill still just randomly get 5 in a row and miss 20 in a row. But I think something that actually helps, is holding back and at the end of the soten input. It seems to accept my input slightly more when i do so.

I just spent a couple of days with Elena - man, she is such a refreshing entry. (For reference, I've a few characters in low MR).
No cMK DRC. No fireball DR. No throw loops.
Just good old fashioned neutral. Invincible DP. Very accessible hit confirms even for my old hands. Plenty of solid, solid auto-timed oki. Fun combos that flow well, but aren't brain dead (e.g., need to consider opponents crouching status, use force standing moves, etc.).
I feel like I'm playing classic SF again. I only started using her to learn her moves, her frames, but I think she's going to be my main.

Why do people say Ed has no throw loop anymore? It's nerfed, yes, but he can still DR throw loop. And imho all throw loops should be like that. You want to loop? Spend meter. If you want free corner pressure there are other options besides throw loops.
