I think the reason why powercreep and hard content suck in genshin/HSR vs Wuwa/ZZZ is because you need 4 characters vs 3. Shit gets much more expensive for characters like Skirk if you want to high invest.

That has nothing to do with character quests being integrated to the main plot. For example, Tribbie's past and present are very connected to the characters' main goal. It's not a NPC fiesta or something mostly irrelevant. Genshin only has a few retcons, the main issue is how Fat Xiao chose to ignore important lore points and put them in side quests and object lore. Now this is biting him in the ass as he plays catch-up with a huge part of the playerbase. Basically, his issue was pacing. Having someone like the electro Lightkeeper be connected to the Moon Goddess/Nod-krai more deeply is different from learning more about Yoimiya's generosity in her mandatory quest as she helped random NPCs or have Aventurine go through his past for a long ass time, which messed up the pacing since it wasn't directly connected to Penacony itself.

Thus why I said whether this change is a good thing depends on Fat Xiao's plans.

I could barely kill the water guy if I reset enough but it would be with basically 1 second left on the clock. Absolutely can not kill the fire dragon. No chance. Onslaught mode is miserable with 0 energy start. I was okay with the hp pool, bs gimmicks and roster checks in which you need 3 fully built specific teams for fearless but doing 0 energy starts is straight up a violation of fun. So now I'm on a timer, with a roster check team and I have to funnel for burst users ? On top of that you can't use hydro for the above 2 stages but you sure need pyro and good dendro or overload teams. I've given up I'll just wait for the resin runs to reach 1200 and get the other feather

overseer feels like a hard Skirk + escoffier check, i just got skirk but got Dehya'd on escoffier, using anything other than skirk performs even worse, also what retard thought it would be a good idea to make it where your supposed to use a nightsoul character to shred resistances but then made it so the boss just nukes you from orbit if you try so the only viable method is to avoid nightsoul characters like the plague, if i could avoid getting wrecked by the beam it looks like i would have had enough damage but that shit is impossible.

lava dragon just feels like ass, i've tried so many combos between tons of pyro, pyro + burning, kazuha infusing pyro, all kinds of shit but never better than 20% left when the time runs out.

doesn't help my best unit is Neuvillette who is hard counted by all three bosses, i guess you could attempt overseer but without Escoffier you won't do enough cyro from off field and fuck using citlali.
