Usually the healer in games is the frail weak one staying in the back, usually in a girly role, associated with being the lesser one and doesn't get the same glories as the cool damage guys. Here are sprites I made of the not-so-fun gang that I put way too much time into. After mulling over it I was inspired by Ralsei's training dummy and made him into a scarecrow- his design is kind of simple but my favorite. Susie's design definitely needs some work though. While the style isn't as accurate to the game as I would've liked it was gratifying to do nonetheless.

In Earthbound and Mother 3 Ness and Lucas are each by far the strongest physically and defensively (like Susie) while also getting all the best support and healing PSI. Both of their only offensive PSI attacks can be inferred to be related to emotions and personality (Rockin/Kiai being excitement/happiness and LOVE being well...) like Rude Buster can be associated with Susie's rough and tough exterior. If Ralsei winds up getting FireShock after all it would actually match up really well with how he's also basically a Paula/Ana (association with cooking/singing/prayer). If we're really gonna have a chance to figure anything out, I think we need to figure out the implications of Dark Worlds. Like, Determination and Save Points went to their full conclusion in UT, it begged the question "What if the game ran with it?" And Alphys did exactly that, figured out there was a differentiator between monsters and humans, tried to play around with Determination after figuring out how to isolate it. I've got an "if". If the whole Suselle subplot has a point other than just having a lesbian couple in the game and the painfully awkward, hacky and forced nature of these scenes is intentional, then it's probably going to be great. Not even saying Suselle happening would be bad in itself (even if I don't like it), but rather that there's something actually going on and it's not just Toby forcing the game to have lesbians as hard as he can. If all of these scenes are just being played completely straight, and there's no point other than making us just sit through Toby's awful lesbian romance fantasy, then they're absolutely shit and are making the game actively worse.

I'm also slightly annoyed about how little we are allowed to know about Kris and Ralsei at this point. I've always found that the longer you keep a secret going, there comes a point where you just stop giving a fuck what it was, and we're aiming for a decade now since the game got started. I'm still invested, but there will come a day where I'm just not.
