I haven't learned a single good thing in SF6. By that I mean there is nothing in the game to practice or explore. Combos can be learned just by looking at a video. Oki and pressure is so simple you can write it in chess notation and play correspondance slime. The only thing to do is change your gambling averages with throw, shimmy, etc.

I think SF6 is just aight, I'm mostly disappointed that it isn't a very "solid" game (and it also isn't getting patched to become that way) by traditional SF standards, it feels like I'm playing fucking Strive at times with how strong the most hair-brained options can be, but it's still cool to whiff punish people and check Drive Rush when the game actually works.

The casual playerbase, I never interact with. I only ever play ranked and everyone up there has over a thousand hours played. A lot of them I recognize from SFV. The actual top 1% or whatever of players has not changed at all. It is fucking INSANE how much more time spent in neutral you have in SFV even when both characters are momentum swinging, VT activating bots than even the most solid Ryu mirror in SF6 would have. If you want to understand how the FGC operates just look at Tekken 8.
After S2 release a bunch of players including streamers said they'd be going back to T7 or switch to some emulators or modded version of T8, and for a few day a few of them did.
But it didn't last for longer than a week for the majority of them quickly returned back to T8, and after a single patch which only toned down Jack and Paul and no one else, they're back to the grind on a game that was supposedly by a patch that has yet to be fixed, the new moves are still there, heat is still there, everything they complained about is still there, yet they couldn't stop themselves from playing it, the same way people couldn't stop themselves from playing SFV at launch and now SF6 at launch.

I actually would expect it tho, while i like Jive the game has obviously less "sauce" than Jive which is a more modern FGC title with a stronger balance ( Yes even with Luke ), clearer rule and bigger emphasis on the neutral game.
You can't really spend hours in the lab in Jive and keep finding out new shit, so lab heavy player will be less incentivized to stay.
SF6 will be dropped as fast if SF7 ever release, you can count on that.
