6* lagiacrus is more difficult than a tempered 7* apex
Arkveld is the last normal monster you unlock in the campaign and it defeats almost all the monsters but its 8 star version has almost half the health of the others.
Suddenly some monsters have a high resistance to wounds and others explode like piñatas.
Why do apexes have 7 star versions and lower tier monsters like mizutsune only have 8 star ones.
The loot and drop rate system for lagy and seregios is completely different from the rest of the monsters.
And in the future, there will be an RNG talisman system on top of already craftable talismans?
It all feels like putting band-aids on everything instead of making major adjustments to the overall game . No rules, no planning, no direction. The progression and difficulty are all over the place.
I'm very curious to know the story behind the game's development because the difference between the high quality of the content in terms of monsters and fights and then the disaster of the game half-baked systems, progression and mechanics is very striking.

Any suggestions for handling Lao-Shan Lung solo in MHGU? I’m following Youtube videos and getting so close, like 1-2 minutes left before it retreats, but I can’t quite seem to cross the finish line. I’ll keep at it and eventually luck will end up on my side (on day 4 of this dumb thing), but I was curious if anyone here had any success?
Following what looks to be the optimal route for nailing all the cannon and ballista shots (along with ensuring I have Felyne Bombardier active). Also making sure I try to land a flinch shot before each attack on the final fortress and getting the extra Dragonator damage from it holding said building.
I’m trying to get extra DPS in with my hammer, but thinking it isn’t enough. The only other area I seem to struggle with is bringing cannon balls from inside to second weapon — it seems to always end up being times with a roar/slam that makes me drop it.

Not only did I pay $110 for the game, but I'm the schizo who had to jump through hoops to play the game for like 2 weeks because they broke the game in a very specific way.
If you are bald and have no eyebrows and put on the guild set, the game crashed on launch.
I had to uninstall the game, install it, launch while it was partially installed and then let it finish (takes an hour + for me.) and then I could play before I figured out others are having this problem, took off the guild set and then I could play normally.
So not only did I pay more. It worked worse and I was punished for it.
