Followup question, does synergy points overflow, unlike in the main/real games? IE, in a normal persona, if you need 100 affection points to raise the social link, and get 200, the extra 100 is wasted. But in this game it overflows and you'll just jump 3 levels in the synergy, right? So there's no downside to just gifting something that uses a huge amount of affection points early?

From what I remember you have to go around the perimiter of the balcony to get all the stuff, then go back and before the jump up to the top balcony & 90 degree turn back to the way you came, you keep going and the floor slopes down a lil bit and that's where you jump down to the green box floor. My understanding is that if the enemy has 100k hp with wind weakness and you deal 80k damage with curse damage joker and 20k damage with some wind character you'll get 80k + 20k*5 = 180k points in total. If you were to instead guard on joker's turn and deal the 100k using wind you'd get 500k points.. Also someone correct me if I'm wrong but I THINK that having high level Joker on the team is still beneficial because he contributes to the all out attack damage which gets 5x.

I don't care as much about the quality of the villains like a lot of people have talked about. It's the massive plot contrivance of the DesireApathy Syndrome that annoys me.

Like, in the main game the issue was all your targets were either very powerful influential people, or hid their shittiness, or usually both. The shenanigans in the Metaverse cognitive world were totally behind the scenes and only affected the palace owners subconscious.

Now it's just like:

"Oh hey, having a palace means you can do literally anything and the universe will rewrite people and reality to very very conveniently protect you. And allow you to get away with anything, in broad daylight. And make everyone believe anything you say. And make any one take your side regardless of how flagrantly it flies against human nature. And make your victims give in and not fight back. Etc etc."

It's even worse and contradictory because Lufel explains multiple times in mementos that humanity's subconsciously hates palace owners and tries to isolate and cast them out, but then also makes them golden gods who win at life. It doesn't help that they're also nobody losers now who only succeed because of the metaverse rather then actual villains who feel "important" and influential to take down in some way.

Don't get me started on how the whole thing seems like a Chinese criticism on Japanese culture way more then the main game does.

It's similar to the soft pity issue again where people are focusing on the wrong thing instead of wider issue (the removal of the soft pity text) and it's meaning that lets you know the devs/publishers intention.
Ultimately, 300-600 gemmies every 2-3 weeks is annoying to lose but it's just the tip of the iceberg. The devs/publisher went out of their way to go through the entire game, all avenues of gem intake, and either backloading the shit out of it so you can't access them for months, or shaving away as much as possible whenever currency is involved.
The whole version of the game has been streamlined to give you as little as possible early on in the hopes you spend as much as possible as early as possible.

I just stopped giving a shit about even worrying about rolls. I'll just wait for the 110 banner, quit if that doesn't have soft pity either, and until then not renew the monthlies or buy any bundles. But once you understand the mindset they had towards our version of the game, you should feel a bit annoyed at minimum regardless of if you give no shits about any sort of endgame.

The accelerated schedule will start causing issues when they actually start releasing units worth a damn. Right now you have a Joker that was easy to reroll for if you really wanted him, Yui who's niche at best, and Marian who's very likely still going to be added to standard later. Anyone who spent more than a few thousand gems when rerolling for Joker fucked up. However once they start overlapping banners like Chord, Futaba, Queen, Fox then shit is gonna get bad with the current gem gain.

Like you might have a demon with specific skills in mind but you can only inherit so many skills because you can't change the base skills so you have to rely on skill cards to replace the base skills if needed. You're gonna get your ass beat by gimmicky mini and main bosses because the auto AI doesn't use optimal moves on every single situation.
It has some basic combos registered. It knows that if Joker used his S1 and is on his extra turn he should use his S3 for example, or to always use Shoyu's S3 asap, but for example it has a hard time swapping Wonder's Personas, so if you start with an Auto-Mataru/Maraku persona, sometimes the AI won't swap to a Persona that can exploit weakness and shit like that.
It's unreliable on the fights that matter basically.
