It destroys Aggro and it singlehandedly removed Roach from ladder, at the start of the set it also had a good matchup against Sword but now the more refined Sword lists can deal with it, a rally(20) / sevo Galdaria+Grimnir crest can deal with Ward Haven's 7pp flood consistently enough that the slower Sword variants have started foregoing Odin in favour of Grimnir.
Ward Haven is a brainlet deck designed to defeat Aggro and Combo, if you can't win via Wilbert -> Aether -> Jeanne then it's basically a surefire loss. Sword beats Ward Haven by conserving resources until they've beaten the Aether flood.
