Is blood vengeance style cards no longer a thing they are going for? They haven't released a single card which takes advantage of low health.
Seems like the philosophy for the blood themed cards is cheaper and "stronger" but with deal self damage as a downside.
Is this how it's going to be going forward?
It seems pretty easy and obvious how to design some cards around being rewarded for being low health. So the only reason I see for them not having released even a single one is because they have changed their philosophy and decided that it's not a good mechanic, which would be the most plausible explanation considering they deleted bloodcraft.

Vengeance is a terrible concept completely at odds with the design of the rest of the game and requires them to make a special card every format that says "when in vengeance you take less damage" otherwise blood is unplayable trash. The problem isn't being reward for being at low health, the problem is that being at low health leaves you completely open for every fucking bomb in the game unless it comes with some damage mitigation. It probably gets tiresome as a designer to come up with a new crutch for this terrible mechanic every format so they scrapped it.

Sword is really strong but Rune is the most unfair deck. At least with sword you can see HOW you lost, you didn't draw an out to a wide board or they got a perfect curve early etc... I have a similar deck, removed one G&Y and took out all my Olivias since she was never around when I needed her and always around when I didn't. I also only run one or two Mukan, as sometimes when I needed a 4 drop he would eat shadows I would need for Cerb later. I do run a full set of Orthus though. I play rune at times, the more dirt focused version is pretty fun and I understand how unless the opponent doesn't spam their highest power cards you can just stall till you exodia their face and there is nothing they can do. When playing against it it's just unfun cuz you have near no control and just have to hope he can't do it every turn. Playing rune somehow gets more boring than ward haven over a long period of time
