The initial dip was due to Wuthering Waves. The second one was because of ZZZ. Zenless directly competes with this game unironically and it doesn't help that it has the same atmosphere as early HI3. I was finding people with Seele, Fu Hua, Bronya, hell even Sin Mal avatars in the CN ZZZ forums. Their marketing team seems to be HI3 veterans as well.

Only 2 characters are actievely snippy at each other, and even then both are still allied and on the same side. There's no real conflict between the HSR FC's like we have with Mobius and half the cast, or Kalpas and anyone who isn't pink, or Aponia and fucking literally everything up. It's my main criticism of the arc, the HSR as a whole just feel spiceless. Granted there are some nice touches, it might be heresy but I prefer their Pardo.

It's weird, because each HSR FC has a "curse" but it's not really a character trait. Like Aglaea is blind, but it doesn't really have any sort of impact on her. Castorice is a bit awkward due to not being able to touch anyone, but they don't really do anything with the fact that you can touch her, they should have gone the whole Serenity route where she became very clingy with you due to being touch starved, but I guess that would have been a character trait. The only ones who have real "traits" are Not-Gil with his autism, Not-Pardo with being a liar, and Tribble due to being three little girls in a suit which honestly has some good stuff in it..

In the long term it's a good decision as people will still remember it for the amazing story Part 1 was, BEFORE people start remembering for how messy, jumpy, and lesser quality Part 2 was.
Here's the thing. We love this game. We cherish it. The memories will always stay with us. And the main message of fighting for everything beautiful will always be remembered by us. And I think that's beautiful. So ending it now without fumbling and it being on the receiving end of poor decisions by the management stuff is good for the game.

It sounds wild, but there are more factors to consider than just revenue. For starters, the games revenue is still "fine", it's in the top 100 gachas still. Second, when you are a large company like Hoyo, brand image is important, Hoyo would probably keep Honkai 3rd around just to project the image of longevity, as it keeps players invested in the long term health of their other games when they can point to HI3rd running for 10 years, plus it avoids the headlines like "Hoyo shut down X game, is the company okay!". Finally, a game isn't just a game when it's part of a much larger company, it becomes a useful tool for training new staff and a test bed for new ideas, there's a reason a lot of things first appear in HI3rd before they are tried again in a main game.
TLDR: Game is fine.

1. Bring back the touch mechanic, but in a style similar to that of Snowbreak/ GFL2. Maybe with some integration with the dorm.

2. Cut down in dialogue and excessive philosophical shit. Recently I started playing BA and jesus, I've forgotten what it is to have fun reading a gacha story. The dialogue is short, the characters can be goofy and talk non sense, and the way they go from a fun slice of life to serious shit works really well. Why can't the characters just talk like normal people? I'm too dumb to put into words exactly what I'm asking for, but maybe this can be shortened to 'more fun dialogue'.

3. Lower the "difficulty" of endgame stuff, as in, remove the necessity to specific characters to do some specific mechanic, make the endgame more casual.

4. Related to the previous point, maybe go a few patches without new characters/ without S-rankers and starting selling more skins. You get more out of the characters you already have and they can focus more on story progression instead of shitting out random events to justify new battlesuits.

5. Just the basic "finish the UI", "Make the newfag experience easier", "go back to stages"...

6. Not much of a point but more a reflection. What it is that this game has that would make someone new come to play over the competition? Combat I can think of ZZZ and PGR right of the top of my head. ZZZ is pretty much a modern HI3rd, has more fan service and it's easier to get into. PGR is a bit older but still younger than us, it also has more fan service and it's very casual and easy to get into. Why should anyone play this game? Any barrier to entry will drive people off any game, but this game has way too many barriers for most people - it's old, bunch of currencies, early story is almost ten years old and stages can be buggy with new stuff (think shit like HoFi with the old 'video chat' system), too much powercreep and useless units, etx. Again, why should anyone play this instead of the competition?

Yeah. Songque. Like, a lot. Coralie was also pretty interesting especially her talks with "Ajita". I also found Duonigue and Sena's interactions very funny. Baiji was annoying at the start but I warmed up to him when they revealed his story. Lantern was also fun because she kept chasing us and everytime she got cockblocked by the other Shus and I found her backstory very sad and her character interesting as well. Same for Thelema.

As a recent example, It's annoying as fuck having a bunch of bleed/ hit count abyss when you don't have Susshang, doesn't help that the patches are longer and so is the shilling. My argument with that point is solely for them to move away from pvp and do something else for the endgame. After a few years, the combat has become tiresome, and being forced to pull a character to fix some annoying problem doesn't feel good, and with a game that has a bunch of problems this just stacks up and gives the players reasons to quit/ stop spending. Hence my point about releasing less characters e more skins, that could also add interactable stuff with touch system, more stuff to do and more satisfied costumers that might overlook other areas of the game (look at snowbreak for instance, has barely any gameplay but people overlook it because sexy women.)

If you see opinions on hsrg about Amphoreus, it's about how much it needs hi3 to carry it or about how unsatisfied the few there who did play hi3 are about execution. Then you have everyone else complaining about the pacing, characters, writing, plenty of things people who don't play hi3 are unhappy about the entire time. Even Phainon = FR without memories doesn't make it better for most because he only gets all his past loop memories late in a loop. There is a new "Phainon" per cycle too. Last cycle was named Khaos. Only the Flamereaver seems to remember everything as he is the real Lord Ravager whose memories are theoretically being extracted and entrapped. So Phainon for most of the story doesn't get any new character development but was a new "version" each start of a loop.

Amoprheus shills keep saying how the cast is great and they bounce off each other well, but most of their interactions are either through TB, info dumping to one another, or used to progress Phainon's character. There's very little to almost zero moments of them bonding with each other and showing how they are friends. Like aside from Cipher's brief flashback with Algaea, there's no indication any of the CH really give a shit about each other. It's pretty damning that Castorice mopes over her pitybait sob backstory and ignores how in her current situation she's supposed to be surrounded by friends who support her. It's to the point Hoyo keeps releasing animated shorts of the CH being friends and doing friend stuff yet NONE OF THAT IS EVER SHOWN IN GAME. There's no issue of this with the Stellaron Hunters, where we see Kafka helping Blade cope with his marastruck, Silverwolf helping out Firefly like a big sister, and Firefly talking about how Kafka helped her so much. All in the main story and on-screen. Why not here?

I think the main problem is that Phainon mentioned it in passing, in that the player never experienced the samsara he was suffering. The reason why it worked with GGZ Kiana and Fu Hua was because people have seen them suffer in the story. We've seen Fu Hua being repeatedly betrayed by the people she trusted. Phainon only mentioned his angst in third person. This sounds like it has Fanchuan written all over the arc. Hell even Vita's eternal samsara was written better. What the fuck is Fanchuan doing?
