I know that 98% of the major complaints people have with Starfield is loading screens and this would indicate that they are working to fix that for ship travel. Obviously this would just be in addition to what we already have so it wouldn't outright remove the whole "go to a menu, select your destination and GO" thing, but I have a feeling that a lot of the people who complained about it this will end up going back to the method we already have. Choice is great and there will undoubtedly be a ton of people who will probably never travel through space the old way in Starfield ever again, but still.

What I'd be more excited about than anything is resource management without needing the mods. Running out of gas means you're stranded until you can figure out how to garner the fuel to leave. Oxygen can run out and you can suffocate after helmet and suit malfunctions or inadequate suit ups. More skill badges and skill trees, more options for starting character attributes, more ship parts, etc. Things like this would get me more than anything else, but it makes sense that Bethesda would focus on the loudest complaints. Meaning they are probably also doing something with POIs since that was the second loudest complaint after the loading screens.

Depends on what you mean by waifu. As far as producing modded followers is concerned, Starfield is pretty much in the same boat as Fallout 4 as they don't have access to generic voice lines to just produce follower left and right like in Skyrim. Modders will have to either make NPCs silent, use AI, or hire someone to do the voice work. The only romanceable female follower mods I've even come across so far is Alana in the paid Everbright mod, and Estelle from the Crimson Fleet questline who you MUST not betray to SysDef in order to be able to romance her.

Main quest goal is either help one faction win, generate a peace treaty or trying to find other habitable worlds - and exploring them to make sure they're actually habitable.

Freestar Rangers are police/gestapo not mercs. UC Vanguard is basically Legion sure. Ryujin is corporate espionage for a legitimate business. Crimson fleet are more like the Thieves Guild as they are pirates. The factions aren't that similar to past Bethesda games.

You can have your character modified with alien DNA to be more resilient and healthier than normal humans, which means the genetic manipulation tech in Starfield is centuries more advanced and mature than ours.
