Turtle Wow has just released 1.18.0, Scars of the Past. This update brings a lot of new changes, such as new zones and a new raid boss.
Turtle WoW is releasing a FRESH server (RP-PVE) called Ambershire on August 17th.
Ascension has Bronzebeard+ or BBC+ for short and some people are playing on it so check it out now!
Project Ascension has acquired Project Epoch after its failed launch. It is still down with no re-release date listed.

The server has a large roleplay community but at the same time it's dwarfed by the non-roleplayers. I would say there's around 250 roleplayers who play on Turtle Wow. This is about what Epsilon gets as well, and there's a lot of crossover.
If you want to get into roleplaying, you should download the TRP addon and join a roleplaying guild and go to roleplaying events. Get to know roleplayers and get known. They are extremely welcoming unless you are a sexpest (and if you are you should just stick to hitting up people with slutty TRPs for ERP).

The idea is that there's statues in Herod's room to fallen Scarlets and some high elves and dwarves are mentioned. But the problem is you never see any Scarlets that aren't human in game.
If it were my call I'd allow one or two exceptions but try to keep it mostly human. Scarlet Legion's human to non-human ratio is a bit off. Some of their events for a while were mostly elf and while it seems like the human tide is starting to win over it still feels like half the guild is non-human, and that's just not right.

A redesign would be better but it's difficult for 1.12. His Cata design is decent at least and he is suppose to wear "adamantium plates" or something of the sorts even if his designs never showed that in WC2 or Lord of the Clans.

Turtle has high elves and goblins.

Epoch has multiple extra class and racial combos.
Epoch is run by Ascension now.
Epoch is talking big on PvP.
