I'm finally deciding to git gud at fishing as a way to start kicking my vidya habit, and to also learn an insanely useful survival skill. How do you all get excited to go fishing? I want to get better and actually learn how to fish, but every time I go I can't catch anything / get bored / discouraged. I'm fishing in my local river, and I'm always coming up with either weeds or a snagged line I have to cut. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, maybe I should just start with a bobber and go from there.

Why the fuck would you willingly come to this state? You cannot carry a firearm here leagally unless you go through a lengthy and expensive process, only to have your permit valid for 2 years before you have to start fetching people for your background check again. And also:
