I think Soldier should have a pigeon-guided missile launcher, based on the real weapon system designed in World War 2. It would function similarly to the Beggar's Bazooka -- holding M1 loads 1-3 pigeons inside a missile and releasing fires the missile. Having more pigeons increases a missile's tracking range, FOV, and turning speed. However, this can also be negative, as the missile struggles if it detects multiple enemies, causing it to stutter in between both targets.

This idea I have isn't specific to 2fort, but I put this together to illustrate the idea I have. Imagine if a team's base had a one-way gate at the front, with the intention that you have somebody (like Spy or Scout) take the long way through the sewers or battlements to go around and open the one-way gate so that allies could flood in. The map would be designed around this idea as once the enemy team has infiltrated "the front door" the map would be designed so that team has a tactical advantage in that immediate area (given the high ground, immediate access to the control point / intel)

This is our last time in this Hall of Fame, after this I have to either add a new section or redesign it. I think I'm going to keep extending it in the future, moving the photo booth ever further from the entrance.

Honestly the gas passer is fine. All it needs is to behave like your typical recharge item that you spawn with and takes like 15 seconds to come back. There's no reason for it to behave like a banner that extremely slowly recharges on its own, the effect isn't nearly as good as a banner.

Its easy to look at TF2 and see the lessons they learned which let them perfect the concept of an in game economy with CSGO.
They clearly tried to revamp tf2's economy with cases, skins, and graded items but they fucked up really bad. Actually that's wrong, they didn't fuck up they just half assed it then gave up when the game didn't make CSGO money.

Weapon drops should've been retired in favor of rarer graded item drops because right now you can't even participate in the "new" economy by playing the game, only by buying things.
Weapon drops are just bad conceptually and were only barely excusable early on but nowadays no serious pvp game paywalls weapons and they are paywalled because you can't have all of the weapons in the game as a f2p due to the pathetically low inventory space they give you.
I seriously can't believe they ever thought they can turn the game into a serious competitive shooter with weapons paywalled. Were they high?

Because that'd be lazy as hell and wouldn't fix the downgraded visuals, dogshit menus and terrible performance and as a result would probably get 0 players (and trying to populate a TF2 server in the current year is already near-impossible unless you have an eceleb relentlessly shilling it). Having its own steam page would bring a lot of publicity in itself. Plus, you'll have multiple servers ran by multiple clans in the game instead of it all being ran on one server which may or may not have retarded moderators, which is far more accurate to that era of TF2.
Pretty much all TF2 mods can be remade on live TF2 with enough sourcemod/vscript fuckery but there's a reason why devs opt to not do that. Its like asking why have Black Mesa be a standalone mod when you can just port the maps over to HL2

I think it'd be great if more people posted gameplay: posts here are generally so evanescent that I don't think it's worth fretting too much if a clip doesn't meet self-imposed expectations. It's always been more about a window into personal contemporary gameplay—as convoluted of a description as that may sound—to me. Like a double moment in time. Take this clip, it's just me hearing a decloaking spy and jumping over him, fleeing from an overhealed scout and then two shotting him. The clip itself isn't notable and lacks the context of each player's previous display of skill so it presents only that moment. The full significance of which is completely personal. That's also why I like when I having multiple clips of the same players because it recreates and communicates more of that signfiance.

As for sympathy towards getting recorded? I don't think it's anything to worry about. I don't consider it an affront to their "in-game efforts" to post yourself besting theirs, even just by fluke. I'd even say this about much more competitive games; because ultimately they're just games and reflect not much else. You see some people have meltdowns from losing a casual harvest game so maybe I just don't take it seriously enough. I very much enjoy winning but I don't think it's worth getting genuinely upset over losing especially in TF2, thus I don't think it's irreverent to epotimise the instances that constitute someone else's defeat(s).

Also after sweating on deadlock I can't help but view TF2 as even more casual. Deadlock is unironically the only game where I've found my mood deteriorate from playing

The mods are nice and all but there's one major issue with them getting on Steam. Eventually there's going to be too many tf2 mods on Steam (there almost already is right now actually). There will be heavy competition for player traffic. The mods may break 500 players when they initially release. They may break 500 players again whenever a new update hits. But 98% of the time, they're all gonna be below 100 players because most players will get bored and go back to normal TF2. That's not a prediction, that's a spoiler.

It was never a real problem to begin with, and it only got nerfed because 6s fags theoryed up a strong 1v1 scenario and gaslit the devs. That damage nerf is a far better way of dealing with it's supposed "OP" status without gutting it completely.
