Am I playing wrong somehow? Seems like every time I match making people just run the fuck away from everything. They never really seem to run TO anything, just away from everything. Maybe they run to a chapel to get a flask, maybe they run to a spot to kill an easy boss, etc. They never ever kill "trash mobs" even if it would be extremely easy and beneficial (say, enough runes to level up). All I do all game is play catch up because the ADD niggas never stop moving. Then they get to a boss or some such and they get their shit pushed in because they're level 6 on day 2 fighting a dragon. I beat Gladius with randoms first try as snoybros weren't here. Lucked out with cipher pata at merchant, and Wylder got a sacred relic sword.
I had 40% dmg reduction on full health and his attacks still took almost all of my health bar (Maris relic...).
We still wiped because one guy get kept getting downed, and I got hit by the dog despite being in Duchess ult invis. If it wasn't for that, I would be downed-less. Ult buff when?

The entire arena is exploding 100% of the time, the only moments between the explosions is raining holy damage spikes, if the spikes aren't coming the faggot boss is running 4 football fields away from you at mach speed. If none of that is happening he is doing a 720 spina attack that can hit 50m. I mean it's just stupid as fuck? I have no idea how you're supposed to keep up with all this shit. If you stop moving for 2 seconds you have a high chance of being hit by any number of things. Incantations are really strong. If you stack FP relics you can unga bunga everything down with them. Summons are really good for revives. Ghostflame + Buff team on ult + kills regen ult combo is both really fun and really good. I agree Duchess is better, which is why I use her when shit gets real, but Revenant is extremely fun.

That's a problem Revenant has for everybody, though. If the summon is right next to the boss, it'll even get in the way of Ironeye and Recluse's attacks. At least melee attacks have a regular hitbox that won't be effectively blocked by the summon if the enemy hurtbox is already there.

You really have to start stacking damage negation passives, even if they are white weapons, it's worth it over nothing. Like every damage negation passive. well, defense is kinda it works or it doesn't with specific thresholds
you specifically need ehp preferably through full % hp negate and some 12% negations from the bosses if there's no other good loot
boosting up your hp is not going to actually make you significantly more survivable vs gladius since he's usually overkilling you by more hp than you can reasonably acquire (if you do rotwood you may survive raw hits assuming he has no atk buffs)
basically what I'm saying is 1 full 40% hp negate is all you need for items (or the 30% from ritual shield/a blue), and if you want that hp to matter you now need % boost when damage taken to survive a 2nd follow up hit
keep your healy talisman and just heal to full after you take any hits if you aren't confident

To compensate for not gging after playing, I sometimes throw in a few ggs when I'm not playing.

This took me three attempts and in the first two I had way better gear and still ate a ton of shit. It's not THAT hard if you're patient and I think it's dumb that the Oceiros charge can chip you. Also, I hate the three dog phase, it just isn't fun to deal with and in the best case scenario you'll be running away from them and you'll maybe get a couple of hits off one of them. I think the boss could've been better. At the very least remove their stupid breath attack when they split in three; that thing is stupidly oppressive even in the normal fight. So far, the toughest boss for me to beat the first time was the regular bugs at 8 attempts; I don't think anything else will top that. I'll be joining you xisters in a bit.

That won't work once he starts dealing 300%+ damage at Depth 5.

The damage is overtuned and will be nerfed to be in line with the rest of the bosses in the game, even if it ends up on the higher end of the scale.
