Totally understand. I seethed with this game for about 100 hours until I started to get used to how things work. Fast paced decision making is really hard for me so I had to practice it a lot and I slammed a lot of monster zeros while learning to keep up with the baby boy Wylders zooming around with their grappling hook. I also struggled on the nightlords until I started stacking as much damage negation as I could every run and really spent a long time on my relic builds. I found Duchess helped me a lot because I would just spam her dodge instead of needing to learn attack patterns as much. If you hold back and hit dodge she does this really cool elegant backflip and it dodges like everything. It makes me look super cool in the process when really all I'm doing is screaming and mashing dodge.
Revenant is who I currently play the most and I really enjoy her because her summons take aggro off me and I load up on FP so I just stand back and spam huge damage incantations. That makes all the fights a lot less hectic since I'm far away and can see everything that's happening and since I've stacked so much damage negation I know when things 180 and slap me I can take it. I also like to put Sebastian a little behind me so if I do get killed I just crawl to him and he does his autistic screeching to wake me up before I go go back into the fight. Anyway I hope there's a point where it's not annoying for you anymore.
