I don't think they are twins. Probably very close in age, if at all, but it's unclear. I'd personally believe Wylder is the older brother, given how much he cares about Duchess. But that's just my opinion.

Reminder to all Raiders: If you have the Noklateo shifting earth, you can use your Ult to skip everything and go straight to Astel. This is great if your team is ahead (lvl 10-ish at start of day 2). You can also kill a few bosses inside the city and then go for Astel since you skipped the most time consuming part.
All you need to do is go to the north wall (to the right of facing the entrance). There's a cliff just close enough to the wall. Then you just call your big rock and jump from there.

Like I said, I like my fiction when I have to write the script less for the writers. From Software games always have a degree of that of course, but it's the worst it's ever been in Elden Ring. I don't have to infer too much that Vendrick loved Nashandra, he speaks longingly of her and has a nickname for her. I don't have to infer too much why Gwyn gave his body to the First Flame, we're shown that he was the first guy to throw lightning spears at the archdragons. He earned his kingdom with his own strength, of course he didn't want to see it go. Over a year since the dlc, and the amount of inference required to make sense of Elden Ring isn't my cup of tea.

Elden ring's lore is simultaneously the one I was by far the most compelled by while also the only one that I have completely had to jump ship from and not care about anymore. The base game had so many unsolved mysteries that require more than just leaps in logic, they require basically drafting your own headcanon if you want to pretend that some things have answers. And now with the dlc only really marring a lot of the compelling aspects and dilluting the intrigue of others (marika's backstory, the fingers) it feels like it's been retroactively ruined, like when a series you've been keeping up with ends on a trainwreck. It's common knowledge how unfinished and revised every game in from's library is but elden ring is a unique case where it's so much bigger, raised the bar for success so much, and required having a similarly big expansion that so much potential to amend the story in the name of business was reintroduced back into the game. It's the first time a pontiff sulyvahn level of rewriting and repurposing of assets was used on a game that was already out.

It sounds lame to some but I easily considered elden ring my favorite game of all time after it came out and how it was botched so heavily is something I don't think I'll ever get over.

I don't think it's as weird as you say. Elden ring's story is ultimately about conquest and starting a new era under the ideals you've come to develop over the course of what you've experienced in your journey. Those who paid extra mind to the land and people they were assigned with conquering can come away with enough of a perspective and knowledge to mend the order or abandon it. It differs from dark souls in that way, and I think it makes sense that the closer you are to finalizing your conquest the quicker you dispose of the final few rivals. It can come off as a little boss rushy, but the final people you take out are the ones most immediately in the way at the end. All rivals have to be disposed of before you can take the throne, and the remnants of the previous order have to be thoroughly stamped out.

A new player can take a look at the dlc and feel something is off so that is not the case. Before it came out there were leaks multiple projects were condensed, many things in the files have names indicating they were meant to be used for something else, they drop new revelations like messmer and melina are siblings then patch it out later entirely. Messmer is ultimately inconsequential to miquella's plotline and has nothing to do with him, and likely doesn't even know he is there. Countless players have already commented on all of these things and more for so long that it's long been a dead horse. We've also played these games for over a decade now and are accustomed to this kind of thing. At the end of the day the lore is secondary, everything working as intended is something that is more convenient to say than having tangible weight. These games have never released with everything being as it was intended. The new lore revelations aren't really meant to fit into the story seemlessly at all and they pose countless problems once you begin nitpicking.

The Soul of Cinder gets fed ashen undead because of Gwyndolin/Lothric's scheming, and Londor always manipulating undead to try and take the First Flame for themselves, only to lose to it. Frampt and Kaathe waiting for an undead strong enough weeds itself out, and is necessity of circumstance. These were plans enacted after the fact to make sure the status quo lives on.

Miquella's plan requires him to have thought so far ahead that the Tarnished would indeed return, requires him to have always had in his backpocket the plan with Radahn, requires him to have always figured Mohg would cum for him and that would be his in to the Land of Shadow, etc. It makes Miquella's character go from sympathetic to just unbelievable. He was always ahead of everybody, but not in a cool way that interacts with the player.

I agree it's not perfect, but we don't see that imperfection. When we meet Miquella, he's already made his choices and is in control. I think I'm realizing the best way to play Exe is to never use the R1 or R2 of Suncatcher. Just attack normally with a weapon of choice, swap to Suncatcher when you can since it auto deflects when you swap as you're getting attacked, and only use the L2 when it's glowing, swapping back to your regular weapon when it's done.

What other way to take it is there? Each of the miquella followers are fairly recent arrivals in terms of events and haven't figured out that much by the time the player gets there. With the player included these people are entirely responsible for carrying out the ritual to revive radahn in mohgs body and opening the path to miquella's godhood. Nothing besides incapacitating Radahn, charming mohg, and miquella divesting his "flesh", which he somehow has despite having that body be necessary to access the shadowlands, has happened to progress this process. All three demigods he needed killed were killed by a tarnished. It's very dumb but it stands to reason that malenia was just meant to severely cripple radahn to be later finished off by a tarnished and miquella needed time to journey in the shadowlands on his own until he was ready. Which would make it even more dumb that malenia brought an army with her and chose to sword fight first before scarlet rotting him, and especially that miquella would ever ask malenia to use her scarlet rot for his purposes.

What would the alternative be? Malenia failed but was intended to go march to mohg afterwards and kill him next, then go to the shadowlands with her cleanrots and kill messmer? Why even charm mohg in that case then, he'd be hunted down and killed immediately. If he exclusively plays on easy mode then he's not as good as you say. Even I don't think guardian is that shitty in solo, he's maybe a B tier there. In a team he's an F tier, he's cancerous and the whole time you'll be praying he leaves so the boss' health scales down to a level easily handled by the two remaining characters that actually pull their weight.

Executor's Ult is a full heal + iframe + stagger on the finisher if you don't want to use the dog form, and that makes it charge back quicker anyways.
With the roar relic it's also an AOE heal + damage.
It's by far the strongest Ultimate in the game, probably so Executor has something to deal with status immune enemies.

Can someone, in detail or with a video that they agree with 100%, provide me info on why Revenant is considered so bad? I didn't touch her until I finally did her remembrance, which was the last character I did because I had no interest in her. But I loved her story so much I started playing her often and I don't really get why she's bad. I mainly play Recluse and Duchess before her, if that helps any.

Rev isn't bad per se, but she is definitely worse than half the cast. She is squishy af, doesn't have reliable FP recovery and bad stats for melee. Her summons are mid against powerful enemies, and her passive is non-existent against bosses.
I'd place her higher than guardian and at the same level as Duchess. She does great damage with faith spells and her ult is strong

Sure, that makes some sense. But Recluse cannot have big skeleton to tank, she can't heal her two allies with her ult, she can't pick up two people who are already level 3 down. Cocktails take too long to cast and almost all of them are a DPS loss. FP isn't an issue on Revenant, for me at least so not being able to suck FP isn't really helpful. Recluse ult is good, but I think Revenant's is better. So why recluse over rev for incants?

She is squishy. So is Recluse and Ironeye, but like both of them you shouldn't be in melee very much anyways. Reliable FP recovery? You know every mage tower gives AT LEAST 2 shards? I've never had a Rev game where I didn't have 6 shards that I got on my own, no relying on others at the pre boss room. Bad stats for melee? I mean her STARTING weapon is one of the best at rezzing people, has an S scaling for Faith. The only downside it has is no passive, but honestly it's her second best in slot melee weapon after the light sword, the name I forget. Coded sword? Her summons aren't the best, but honestly I think they're better than almost every cocktail the recluse can make. Her passive isn't great, it's good against night 1 and 2 bosses as they always have adds before they spawn, but ironeye doesn't have a passive but he's considered the best character in the game.

I'm not some weird doll creep fanboy who wants his waifu to be good. I like her remembrance and I enjoy her playstyle, but I don't care about her enough to pretend she's bad. I'm a tittymonster enjoyer, but even after these posts I still struggle to understand what makes her bad. Like every character, I think the game gives you everything you need to make them strong. Except maybe Guardian, and I only say that because I have like 10 games played on him and I hate his broken wing clipping through everything so I don't really understand him like I do Revenant.
