New to this whole modding games thing, asked yesterday and received good info. So just to make sure my understanding is I just a "mod" folder created in my Cyberpunk 2077 archive/pc directory and I just drop everything in there and it should all work? I don't need any additional software to force the game to load them unless explicitly stated? Or do I need a modloader? I ask because I did need a modloader when modding Fallout New Vegas.

That's right, just drag and drop into the game's folder and that's it. Just keep in mind that not all mods are compatible with each other, especially body mods and textures which can overwrite each other. Always check the requirements and dependencies before downloading and that's it.

There are two types of mods. Mods using REDmod use the game's proprietary mod loading system. Otherwise you can just drag files into the appropriate game folder. If you download mods form the Nexus the files typically come packed exactly how you'd drop them into the game directory. You can use the preview file tab to see what I mean.

No. all of the dependancy folders will be added automatically by their relevant mods (red4ext, r6 ect.) You never need to manually add a 'mod' folder into the directory.

Honestly your best bet is to just go on Youtube and search 'how to mod cyberpunk' There's plenty of recent guides that'll handhold you through the process step-by-step. Just decide whether or not you want to use a mod manager or not, (I don't because manual install is extremely simple for this game) and follow a guide.

Yeah they are my favorite types of guns to use for that reason. Thing is though I also like to mix in burn chance and contagion and my build is optimized for that. Spread Contagion, start shooting, if anything survives a hit chances are they'll get burned from it and explode immediately and likely take an ally or two out with them. Helps too that explosive AOE seems to also carry burn chance as I've seen close-grouped scavs all go up in a puff of green smoke from a single round. Weapons like Taigan are great for this as a result, but I've wanted to expand to other options. The Osprey interests me greatly, mostly because it looks really cool. If it can't burn without triggering the effect though, it'll be effectively useless for me. Currently unlocking it and I'll test for myself though, I appreciate your advice.

thanks. idk I play with the photomode lights quite a bit with each shot and try to find the best lighting condition for the pic. increase the contrast and highlights a little bit, zoom in the field of view, smooth DOF... part of it is also hardware probably.
honestly getting the lighting right is probably the biggest thing and not being afraid to zoom in the fov
