It moves me deep within my heart to watch a Wisp meleeing over and over into the bloated chest of a long-dead enemy.

Having some form of armor strip used to be mandatory for higher level content. Then DE changed how armor works, so while it's still important, it's more nice to have than necessary in most cases. Heat+Viral procs will work well enough on their own.
