How does she scale into the late game? I come from Dota, and because of the heroes (hard pos 1 carries), I have an instinct to afk farm. I want to ween that out of myself, and I figure Vindicta is good for that as her ult encourages assassinating, and she's not great at clearing jungle creeps. But I still like heroes that scale well into the late game.

I'm pretty good at Dota 2 (usually played with ancient and divines) and used to play at a high level, but I've NEVER been good at FPS and I've tried to get into them for years. Even when I just practice with bots for hours and hours, I'm still shit and it's pretty frustrating. Should I just move on to something else or is a higher level of brute force I can find. Assume I can literally devote 3-5 hours a day to this.

I am by no means an amazing player, but I have a 53% winrate with her currently, which is a bit above average. here is my build, it's more of a cheat sheet than anything. I rarely farm jungle creeps and mostly focus on constantly pushing and joining any fight my team is looking to start. getting fortitude up early allows you to disengage without having to go back to base to heal. a lot of your economy relies on hitting ults and generating free souls for yourself.

No. It's to stop people from having to wait three hours for a game because everyone else wants to play Victor and Drifter too. Valve doesn't care that you only play one hero, they care that you saying "I won't play anyone but Drifter" means you turn into a welfare leech on the matchmaking system who can't be put into a game unless you get Drifter, even if they accommodate you by putting you in lower skill games on your worse characters.

Bad matchmaking that takes too long is a compounding issue. If it takes too long to get a game, people stop queuing, which makes matchmaking take longer, which makes more people leave queue, and so on and so on until only people who won't leave queue at all (which is NOT very many people) are left playing at all. It outright fucking kills the game.

Even League of Legends, which has one of the consistently highest playercounts of any online game, has to tell people "too bad, play the game" sometimes.

There are camps near the guardian. Focus on those. Then push wave again. If the enemy keeps pressuring and it's 1v1, kill them or make them run. Don't fight under enemy zip lines although it's super easy to vault half across the map with them though. Guardians are made of paper after the 10 minute mark basically.

The only real downside to dying is that you can't help your team win fights and you can't farm. This effectively means that, timed correctly, there's basically no penalty to dying for the first 20 minutes (give or take). The only exception to this are the snowball heroes and even then it's mostly just drifter since his scaling is absurd. I haven't made it yet just theorycrafting while waging, I've played a lot of spirit Doorman and it isn't bad but it feels like you realistically have 0 impact, his kit can VERY easily be utilized to make him a god tier splitpusher, nobody else can shut down a potential defender as good as he can + he has great wave clear. Early game you still build some spirit to lane bully (prob mystic burst, extra charge, QSR on bell) then you just start investing into gun.
