Watergate fits thematically. For the voice lines it was done out of necessity since PD was a new game mode and there weren’t Administrator voice lines for it (although apparently there are scrapped PLR voice lines that could be reused)
The UFO is the only out of place thing, but that was kinda the point of the update, and the beam is really buggy and annoying to stay in to deposit beers, but that’s it

Actually a lot less has changed than I would have liked. Compared to 2011, modern TF2 is still pretty similar in terms of gameplay. The main difference is that you'll find Spies more annoying and you'll need to learn how to not instantly die them from any direction.

Since the deadline was August 27th, I'd guess now is the picking period and in a few weeks Eric will send out the emails for the chosen maps, giving the mappers a month to patch up things before the release (right before Halloween)

Randomizer is a dead gamemode that only exists on community 2fort/hightower servers. The only ones that are active are the x10 variants with no time limit and very little incentive to "win". Objectively speaking, this vscript gamemode is fundamentally flawed due to it being shoehorned into the retarded casual system rather than the community server system it was BUILT for.
It's very sad to see these mapmakers appeal to community server "nostalgia" without a care for the actual source material. They just want to bastardize beloved community gamemodes (that aren't even THEIRS to begin with) and milk them with a dozen variants for profit.

These aren't even maps anymore. Nobody WANTS to play these long term. These are disposable gimmicks that amount to absolutely nothing substantial. Reminder that your average map maker hates you and hates the game!
