As a day 1 ZZZ player, I'm honestly on the verge of uninstalling. A couple days ago, I realized... I just wasn't having fun with the game. It was feeling more like a chore than a fun time, and the dailies felt like a waste of time.
When I was slogging through an event (with unskippable dialogue) on the last day before it ended, I just stopped and asked myself if it was worth it. Did I really want to spend another half hour grinding through an event I didn't want to do for less than 2/3 of a single pull?
Honestly, Orphie could have been a big draw to keep me playing. The whole sentient dragon-headed tail thing is honestly pretty cool, and I feel like they could have done so much with it. But then everything else about her is just kind of... bland. Nothing terrible, but nothing exciting either. And making Magus's combat role be essentially just "talking flamethrower" seems like such a missed opportunity.
I've enjoyed the game for a long time, but I just haven't been feeling it lately. It's unfortunate since it seems like some of the devs really care, but maybe this is just the Hoyo curse.

Alot of the newer characters in Genshin and ZZZ are starting to look like they belong in Honkai games. For Genshin its characters like Citlali, Ineffa, and alot of the Nod-Krai cast that was teased, and for ZZZ its alot of these new characters that no-one likes the designs of. They have the "chinese sci-fi" look that Honkai has that feels plain.

I'm going to be blunt. The story and setting of 2.0 has just been trash from top to bottom. The Exaltists are stupid, making the proxies mystic wizards is dumb, and the Star-Rail-esque map exploration is monotonous and boring. Combine that with really excessive, long-winded and rambling writing where characters stand around with 50+ text windows for a simple conversation points over and over again, and the game just isn't fun to slog through.

Honestly haven't played ZZZ since the Vivian update, I enjoyed the story and character a lot, but then I remembered that, as a gacha, next update would have nothing to do with these characters I've gotten attached to and they would fade into irrelevance
Good thing I found Limbus Company, there I have to farm way less, the farm is more focused on the actually good part (getting units), and the story is way better than that of Genshin or Zenless by virtue of it now having to introduce new characters to gamble for every update

I don't get the crying about Defiler. Sure she is probably the worst DA boss because of multiple different invuln phases but it's not like it's hard to score +20k on it with 0 optimization.

Now I am basically in a Cucking Zone Zero. Because now I need to have 50 years to see if the next character would be better design. Which I highly doubt it. I bet current ZZZ team is from Genshin Team at the moment. And there is one particular character in Idol Faction that I do really like the design that I would quite like to the game if the design change to that character. Yes, she is a Robo Girl. I swear to god, if they change her design to looks like Qing Yi roster instead of Robo Girl similar to Billy. I would never going to trust any game devs ever again.

Here's what Hoyo can do to fix ZZZ: Buff every 5* character so they are close in dmg to Miyabi/yixuan on the right team and right enemy, Delete the Squid and the Nun girl, make Manato a 5* and the EbayGanyu a 4*, Hire an actual storywriter that can make something interesting that doesn't waste players time (reduce the yapping, increase set up and payoffs, increase the impact of the main character decisions within the story progress), add a skip button to NPC dialogues.

Play it before you do her Trust because there's spoilers there.

Seed's agent story was quite a bit better than the main story ; although it still had this issue of having the now very generic trope of ''recently introduced formerly good but turned evil hag that can't let go of the past is this episode's villain''. The various mini segments they've added to replace tvs (bangboo sections, ether tuning puzzles) don't really make up for them ; and something just felt... sloppy... in the main story.

I'm going to run Shockstar+Summit with Anby's engine on my Solder 11 to use her as a stunner for Sneed. Based or cringe? Running with Trigger+Sigger btw.

Thought process: her EX does 800% Daze (more than Lighter's) and since she's M2 I only really pop her in to EX as a sneed battery and then spam some basics for stun. The damage amp from Seed and Trigger should be way more than a set bonus anyways. The downside is she's only at 129 impact, to get higher I would need to borrow lighter's engine which I happen to be using...

Is not only about characters design, but how charismatic they are. The dominant playerbase is the straight male ones, and even though manato is for the straight woman and gay man, he is still very liked for the majority of the players since he is a likeble character in the story. Spook Shak did great in theirs characters, and people loved manato. Hoyo is lacking on theirs story and design, affecting the game overall. idk how they will get better, gues im gonna wait for the nord krai equivalent part of this game to play again, but for what was announced i have 0 interest in the game right now lol. Your Miasmic Fiend score however should be higher. Could probably try not using Soukaku at all but more importantly place Alice AFTER Yuzuha, otherwise your Yuzuha is buffing the wrong element. Miasma priest - I have no clue. I don't know if Evelyn works on that boss never tried it.

As someone who's played HI3rd, ToT, GI and HSR:

The more games they release, the less time I spend on them. I quit HSR mid-Penacony. I never even installed ZZZ in my life. And I won't install any other Hoyo games (I've already quit all the other games).

Everytime, every single time, the games start out really really good, and then the quality of the art direction, design, voice acting, cutscenes, animations, lore, plot, QoL, etc takes a nosedive after some time. It took like 5 years for HI3rd and ToT, 2 years for GI, 1 year for HSR, and 6 months for ZZZ. It keeps getting progressively worse.

I'll never install another Hoyo game. Next game will take a nosedive after 2 months.

Yeah, a lot of that has more to do with the main story that's probably on the docket to be revealed through it. Or it's simply elements the writers could explore but just aren't right now.

There's nothing really building us up for an excursion to the wider Outer Ring, for example. We can just logically assume there's more to it. It's my opinion but ZZZ died with the release of 1.4 and the the removal of the TV part of the game. It was not for everyone sure, but ZZZ really had something special in how they conveyed story elements and added neat little gameplay tricks through this TV mode. They removed it in favor of hallway slop everyone has burnt out on and the game has just been slowly dying from that since then. The Hoyoverse hamster wheel of powerspiking endgame content did not help its case.
