Are Heishou adepts on par with the average Grade 1 fixer? I'm basing this off Zilu and Wei being level 75, while Lei Heng is around 83, Colours + Don being around 90, Sancho around 85. 75 seems to be around normal for Grade 1 if everything beyond that is exceptionally strong

Neither of them work as a baseline. In fact in Hong Lu’s uptie it is pointed out there were other Horse Heishous but he specifically sought Yi Sang (that held Wei’s “slot” in that Mirror World) because he stood apart.

Considering Lord Hong's dialogues, Adepts are not to be fucked with and the only thing more powerful are the Heishou Xianren (maybe not physically, but in terms of influence), either way, Adepts are beuilt up as powerhouses that dont feel out of place if taken as grade 2 as a baseline for their power.
Even moreso when you remember that the Heishou are the powerhouse of Hongyuan, so much so that their abscense is enough of a gamechanger that other wings consider a direct overthrow as a winnable scenario

Linear has nothing to do with mechanical complexity, one of those 1500 note 2 minute stamina maps in a rhythm game is incredibly linear but also highly mechanically demanding from the sheer amount of tight inputs, infinitely more than going bing bing wahoo in mario or the other examples.
You can fail in mario and lose 1/6 of your health as a penalty, but in their 2 games, you just get kicked immoderately back an amount showing all these inputs in a row are immediately mandatory.

I was just doing a regular Charge run with Perfected Possibility, Binary Star-shop, Star-shower, and Star of the Beginning to maximize Starlight gain. I didn't get Hell's Chicken or any other status effect EGO gifts other than Charge (because I'm a purist). I also didn't get any of the level up events other than the RR pack and Piece of Relationship.
Up to floor 14, I was pressing winrate and winning all the clashes. I had all adversaries on, and only picked EXTREME packs (flower, MFE, bloodfiends, crabs, and Heath's basement). At floor 14, I got CMCW and some offensive level down gifts. I had to quit Heathcliff's basement at floor 15 because it was impossible with my scuffed build and no extra level ups. But had I horded more EGO gifts, had Faith, sin gen gifts, and all the starter buffs at ++, I would've easily cleared the basement by pressing winrate
