It’s PVP in a gacha game so besides mild balance changes, their main way of doing anything about it is powercreep to sell new things.
The main issue if you can call it that is the lack of variety there’s been in CM conditions and mixing it up a bit more would help. Don’t just spam Medium distances.

Took me a while but I finished Espo's training story and yep, this picture aged even better than I hoped for (although she still doesn't reach Furioso's already-married-before-debut level). It did feel a bit odd though that they brought up the 3 year contract thing again after so many training stories where it doesn't even need to be brought up since (You) and your uma just continue to be a combo without needing to discuss it in a lot of these stories. I guess it was because she gets sent off on her way to BC Classic first before coming back to renew? Thinking about it I guess (You) do bring up the theme of the send-off around the time of the BC invitation.
Also I definitely felt like comparing Espo's dad to Kingu's mom was an exaggeration, I actually kinda sympathized a tad bit with kuso oyaji who never stopped thinking about the day he and Espo had that falling out at club practice and kept thinking about what he should have done as a dad vs coach and even comes around to offering his apology near the end; Kingu's mom in comparison was much more of an unrelenting cunt.

But I'm feeling a little lost and retarded at the bit in Espo's ending where (You) and the reporter are doing the interview about those 3 years with Espo. After the part where you talk about sending her off she walks back into the room and it seems like she's there in the present looking at the reporter who I thought then says that BC prep starts from "today" but then says that she gained a lot of experience abroad with a famous other trainer and has now returned to reform the contract with (You) "today" again, and then Espo seems to say let's win BC together? Were they talking about immediately starting prep to retry BC again but this time with the two of you together? Either way while I did get the theme of Espo becoming strong enough to not be dependent on any one specific individual and instead learn and grow from various others I still was a bit disappointed that (You) stay behind for that first BC, although the reunion kinda makes up for it

It looks like the only cards worth using the 4.5 SSR ticket on for me would be either maxing out Tama for slight improvements or maybe getting that Dulala stam even though I already have max Shakur, which one might make more sense? The thing with older cards in the pool for that ticket is that they're all part of the now old era of single-golds so it doesn't seem like a good investment to go for any of those. I'm all set on speed in the sense that I already maxed out Aichan and she's the only two-gold speed card that the ticket can be used on. How does one get into "current" keiba? I've gotten into keiba a year ago because of this game but its only the "legacy" ones represented in uma. I also vicariously experience current keiba through this general. But I am interested in proactively getting into current keiba on my own. It seems so daunting with all these races going on, tons of active hors, and even more debuting along the way. How does one get started? The best time to start would be during the spring season where strongest young hors duke it out in the classic races. We're about to enter autumn season, you'll get to see a mix of older hors racing against young hors, so that's good too.
