Beside giving gearing crafter a reason to exist, is there ANY reason on why previous savage BiS gear aren't a good entry gear for the newest savage?

Like, why crafting had to be better than the previous gear at all?

Before I could understand, but nowaday where fucking everyone and their mother is botting the shit out of their gathering and crafting and people with multiple bots are controlling their server markets, I do not understand why the gear you've worked hard to get on the previous savage is basically scrapped as soon as the new patch is out with better crafted gear.

It feel bad, and it just feed into people abusing the system, same with fight clubs.

so let's say you liked some of the gear in meso terminal (picrel), the aiming set in particular
you've run the dungeon many times due to expert roulette, and you have 4/5 left side pieces of aiming, and the only one missing is the chest
the chest piece can only drop in 2/8 chests in that dungeon: the first and the last boss
you could run the dungeon 100 times and never see the chest drop
with each run at ~12 minutes, that's 20 hours(!!), not including queue time, playing the same dungeon over and over.
it can be worse, you could run it 99 times, then in the 100th clear it drops! but wait...the other DPS is also a pranged, so they roll need on it as well
they roll higher and get the top. you just get fucked

this is even worse if you want the minions that some of them have, because it's only 1 chance per run, and the whole party can roll need on it. it's why they had to buff the drop rates for a bunch of minions in a recent patch, people had been complaining about the drop rates for years and were giving up

if the combat was better, the system would still be just as awful, but at least each run would be more enjoyable

Crafted gear is roughly equivalent to the normal raid tier's gear for the corresponding savage difficulty.
I suppose it wouldn't be a bad thing from a game design standpoint if previous tier savage = normal tier = penta crafted.

Personally I think increasing ilvl by 30 every patch is a very bad idea since all it does is make older content worse faster but meh. The jump from the previous tier i730 to i740 is fine since it becomes a fresh start, but i760 gear feels redundant when tiers can be cleared with i740~i750

All of the DOF shaders don't handle transparency well. Including, particularly, hair. Since most hair mods/models lean on transparency heavily, it results in the DOF shader generating a halo around it, where it blurs the hair as if it's part of the background. I've been coming to the thread since about Stormblood era I think.
I guess at first it was like "wow, weird people like me! who also play this game!"
and I met more people, people from my DC and we chatted sometimes, I joined CWLS, played the game, raided with them, hung out in discord, etc. I don't think that I ever felt that I ever once really belonged. It was just a place full of people I could hang out in.
The day I realized that, things weren't the same. All my negative traits seemed way worse, I could barely speak to people without it constantly in the back of my mind, despite them probably not even thinking of me at all. It eventually got to be too much and I just left randomly one day. I thought maybe it would be a temporary thing and maybe i'd go back but it's been over a couple of years, there is no going back.
