If you played since launch then you simply don't miss out on characters because dupes are completely meaningless, a single copy unlocks the character at 99% of their power unlike post-hoyoshit gacha games where a single copy of a character is basically a trial version and it doesn't have weapon gacha or any other secondary gacha so if you started at the beginning then you could easily get everything without spending much. Sure, Arknights is ruthless for latelets but no one cares about them.

In Stella Sora, the discs were universal as hell. It had absolutely nothing tied to the character, just THE ENTIRE FUCKING ELEMENT, and if they release 50 new chars of that element, every single char would work well with that disc. 5-star partner gives 200%shield for 3-cost, technically with 50% of it retaining til next turn but if if they're hitting softly enough that 50+% of your shield is leftover you're shielding way too much.

The few partners who aren't just statsticks are the few who do utility not found in char kits

the 160% for each of the cards is not coming from her ultimate, she's just drawing the cards that have to actually exist first. the bullets are getting generated from the actual cards in her kit rather than the ultimate sowhy are you conflating the two? they're unrelated. in reality, its just 300% damage and card draw for 5 cost which is pretty much on par with the summons.

carrying over shield is much more useful than an extra 150% in a lot of situations since it carries over the total % instead of just the shield provided by the summon. it lets you provide value for future turns on turns that would be duds otherwise. obviously there's a trade off here, but its on or better in a lot of cases

My biggest concerns were trauma being an absolute letdown despite the game heavily marketing it as a selling point and the tone of the game being way lighter than I thought it would be.
