I've mainly seen that in havoc. It is super good there and I do appreciate it when a zealot like that is on the team.
I mainly play ogryn with shield and rumbler for maximum crowd control so my boss damage is pretty shit. I have tried the branx both in auric and havoc and I just get it to work mainly the horde clear part which loops from heavy ->light repeat infinetly. But sometimes it feels like it disrupts the diagonal light attack and does a over head instead

If the class is from any 3rd party RPG it is unlikely to be added.
Fantasy Flight Games did some cool stuff but it is painfully obvious that both GW and Fatshark are avoiding them.
Like people constantly wonder what ogryn might get for weapons, your best bet is to look at current mainline 40k and then the official side games GW has made, like necromunda/kill team.

For example pic related was leaked months ago and the leaked said it is meant to be an ogryn weapon. But if you go look at the models only model that has this hammer, is the genestealer abominant.

What's your guys' choice of melee for chorus zealot, in havoc 40? Assume rotten armor because of course it's fucking rotten armor.

I use Shock Maul the most because I think it's really nice if someone in the team has it, even if it's a rather low DPS weapon on zealot.
I've good success with the tac axe overall, but it doesn't really do that great against carapace spam.
The couple games I've used relic blade, I really missed having a secondary with high mobility, but I'm not giving up my flamer either. That said, the damage was quite fucking nice.
I feel like dueling sword might still be the "best" option, as gay as that is, but I really dislike using it on chorus zealot.

It had its invasion pvp mode release a few days ago, where you invade other peoples trials as a murderous doppelganger of them.

Its fun but balance is a shitshow. Groups just sticktogether and stunlock imposters, meanwhile 1v1s are heavily in the imposters favor
1) The imposter can charge up a 1 shot that the agent can stop if they have a throwable in inventory, but they can just throw in a quick slash immediately after the animation.
2) any objective that requires a 3 second or longer animation is a death sentence and imposters can camp objective(if not definitely)
If youu arnt using stunrig you're dependant the maps rng with throwables to damage the imposter.

It is possible to beat H40 with off-meta gear, but it requires very high skill and also luck basically since sometimes the AI director in havoc just says "Fuck you. Here's 15 crushers, 5 bulwarks, 5 maulers, 6 ragers and 3 monstrosities + captain/twins. Oh and some of crushers and captain has the heal aura which heals all enemies near them"

Gun psyker is very ammo hungry and all ammo pick ups are nerfed havoc. Gunpsyker just isn't viable there at all. Same with gunluggers too.
Havoc is basically "melee or bust" game mode and you have to meta slave it if you play in pubs, you could basically compare it to a melee only maelstrom but everything is amped up 11.

I'm really trying to make the Indignatus Crusher work on arby but the arby maul just seems so much better in every way while being easier to use. Feels bad man.

The crusher really needs both damage + attack speed to bring out its full potential.
Arbites does get lot of damage and attack speed, but it's not enough.
It's the reason why even on zealot you only see the crusher be used on martyrdom builds.
It could stand to get buffed honestly, same with its power activation, it could use more oomph and armor damage on it.

I'm aware I do come off biased with how I describe it.
It's basically a very challenging side mode for the game.
I do still recommend you try it out yourself to get the feel of the gamemode to see if it's something you care sink your time into.
Personally I just don't care for it that much despite having played it.

Havoc up to difficulty to 15, maybe 20, is just the harder difficulties but with some different spice modifiers. Havoc 20+ is for masochists who want the toughest challenge, who want to crawl through maps slowly for 45 minutes, who love extreme damage sponge enemies, and don't mind frequently losing. I find any havoc above difficulty 30 to be immensely tiring and not worth it. Auric maelstrom is more fun than havoc imo.

The problem with FFG is that they and GW had a bad split for some reason that isn't know. At least I'm not aware as to why it happened but I do know that it happened. And this split does kind of put all of the FFG classes and lore anything else they came up with in a weird grey area where you wonder "is this canon to 40k or not?" and it is also in a weird legal grey area as well, since lot of the art in the books wasn't made by GW directly but by FFG themselves. And this is where you can find lot of arbites art that could be turned into cosmetics. But since it is a legal grey area I wouldn't be surprised all of that gets veto'd by GW because they don't want to deal with legal bullshit, and fatshark probably doesn't want to deal with legal bullshit either.
And that is the big reason why fatshark is avoiding anything FFG like the plague.

Wrath and Glory probably is still fine, but I would still take them with a grain of salt as to any additions.

Arbite's job regularly takes them to the lower levels of the hive. Their job is to keep the civility within the hive so there are minimal disruptions to the Tithe, and to keep civil order they will crack some skulls if they need to.
If the arbites ever suspect there being some nurgle cult within their area of responsibility, they will start investigating and most definetly get their hands dirty killing the cult members once they are discovered. Aka the very gameplay that is happening in darktide.

I do on virtually every veteran build because I think it's one of the strongest nodes the class has. +25% crit chance is fucking humongous, and the stamina cost is negligible when you use Target Down!
The only reason not to use it is if you're some plasma gun build, or autistically obsessed with wasting half your remaining points on the melee side of the tree.
If you think arbitrator is somehow better at using ranged weapons, not appreciating Deadshot is why.

Plasmagun is still objectively veteran's best gun.
You use it for the exact same reason as the bolter, ie, you kill gunners and specialists.
Plasma does more damage, has more ammo, you can sprint cancel the reload to make it faster and on top of this the retarded amount of power on it lets you punch through walls and entire hordes so you can kill your primary target.
Ie. gunners and specialist.

Only thing the plasma misses out on is boss damage because you can't magdump it like the bolter. Same with things like crushers.
But that hardly matters because you have kraks and power sword, or dueling sword all 3 of which make quick work of crushers and the like.

I think /hdg/ is just a cosmic accident because early in it's existence only way to get around the tens of thousand queues was to get invited to a lobby, so it created a culture of casual lobbies.
And like, sure, there's plenty of schizos and name-dropping but I don't think anyone ever got properly doxxed for their trouble.
That being said I played a lot on 4chan aligned servers, be it SS13, Mordhau, Arma, 4chan Foxhole clan, etc. and overwhelmingly the experience is positive so I think people shouldn't be really that afraid of schizos - surprisingly when people stop being fully anonymous their behaviour instantly improves.
In Darktide I feel the issue is that there's just too big of a spread of difficulty levels and modes and modifiers. People might want to play Damnation for relaxing, Auric for fun or Havoc for sweating and there's also M*rtis, modifiers, Maelstrom and so on, so there's always uncertainty and a lot of people are probably afraid of playing Havocs here because "what if someone thinks they're bad at the game!" if they slip up or don't have all the green circles. /hdg/ just plays max difficulty because that game is so piss easy.
/coopg/ games are similar in general in how there's tons of them and the chance you get three, four people on at once willing is slim.

I've consumed a solid amount of dev blogs for various games because I find it kind of fascinating, and what you're describing checks out. Making assets is often the least complicated part, especially in larger operations. Having a corporate helicopter parent obviously slows things down, but that's not a huge issue either if you've got all the design decisions fully locked down before you even start with creating assets. What Fatshark can't be excused for (at all) is having learned a bunch about how to make enemies for DarkTide, claim it took them a very long time, and then just ceasing to make any more. That's laziness. There's no other explanation for it beyond that whatsoever. I routinely watch Pilgrim post assets he makes for Rust in no more than a day that are better looking than anything Fatshark has ever made for DarkTide.

I don't want to defend Fatshart but it honestly is fucking hard to come up with enemies that actually work well. I think it'd be easier for them to shit out entire new factions like a Jeanstealer cult than add new enemies to the existing rosters, or at least it woulr be safer since if they play like shit you can just not play their missions and wait until they get fixed.

AoS seems like a safe bet, especially with Games Workshop trying to push Warhammer Quest in the setting again.

One of the biggest quality-of-life changes I've seen is that ogryn explosions no longer cause unavoidable stutter. They still slow down the game, but it just reduces average FPS instead of acting like shader stutter. This is huge, why do I see nobody mentioning this? It wasn't like this a few months ago.

No. It regularly clocks in at being the 5th most played TT game. Which sounds rather high until you try to think of TT games that aren't related to GW. Star Wars, Marvel, and some other game routinely survey higher than it. I wouldn't be surprised if Trench Crusade eventually pushed it out of the Top 5 altogether and GW starts eyeing Ol' Reliable.
