Defense sucks due to how damage is calculated in this game. Don't worry about it. Once you get to the end of Guarda, you'll want around 120-140 EVA on your frontline for an easy time, so just build that up as you're in Port.

I only have 8 corrosion sentries on my cursed wheel but I am pretty certain I didn't get spotted on my save the duke run then just wheeled the corruption back to 7-8. Did I somehow miss the flags for some of them without getting spotted, is that even possible?
The only one I know I cheesed with the freeze exploit was the wind up doll which is easy enough to fix but I have no idea about the other ones.

It's really just a matter of not having enough.
Most bosses have between 50 and 100 Surety Evasion.
50 is easy enough to get enough to overcome, 100 takes a bit more work but with the Dex change and all the recent gear with Flat surety on it, it's not too hard to get enough to overcome that either.

Mages should get a spell that makes all of the enemies on the floor beeline towards you so that way I can just stand in one place and passively farm the entire floor with autobattle.

There are two sentry flags on the defeat the guardian of the secret path (necrocore) I just replayed guarda from right at the beginning avoiding every sentry, blocking the LOS of both of of them on zone 2 and 3 when doing the pitfall trap loop to necrocore - beat the necrocore and went up to the the next floor and had the dialogue with lulu about no corrosion. Yet this is my cursed wheel, only one branch.

What am I doing wrong, do any of you have two flags here?

I went through and found out I was missing like 4 of the flags for sentries
I had the same issue you posted last night, to obtain the flag on the wheel for the central sentry there I had to redo it and get spotted
wheeling to the well I had corrosion but wheeling back to "Fortress 2F Minor Harken" I realized I had none by the time I made it to the well and just killed the boss from there and got the ach, no new flags found on the wheel

This is the one that's not getting registered I think - I blocked it like in the walkthrough but unlike the other ones you block it doesn't go directly infront of it it just blocks it's LOS to get through. Maybe there is some method to actually crush it / block the square in front of it I missed.

Some stuff has surety evasion, so you need extra surety to sure hit them. Some of it has a LOT of surety evasion, like sealed demon and are effectively impossible to sure hit.

MY strategy has been to more or less ignore surety on 2H weapon unless it's on a character with built in surety bonuses and/or high dex to begin with, and shoot for 50-70 surety on multi-hit 1H weapons, so at least one hit is a sure hit. Or if I have to alter the last slot on something, I put surety there because surety enhance bonuses aren't very good and you can just brute force 10 SUR with stones. But going for a 100% sure hit rate doesn't seem like a great strategy at this point in time.

Of course on the MC I stack surety to the fucking moon because i can, not because it's a good idea.

Then you alter defense because this is a big dick damage ring. You lose the enhancement bonus but that's fine because that line sucked anyway.

You get like 10-15 SUR for free from your dex, then you can get another 10-12 SUR on the last slot in every +20 armor because you know it's going to roll div and you'll have to alter it anyway and 10 SUR is going to be better than 10 ATK. So you can roll with like 80 surety without much trouble. A few Passive Surety Up (Thief) levels can bump you up to 100 with almost no effort.

I think my game is bugged.
I've beat the Gatekeeper, saved the little girl, etc. and am now repeatedly wheelin' to the end of Guarda to farm bounties, but whenever I wheel to last causality point in Guarda after the Gatekeeper, the zone 10 Harken disappears and has to be fixed again (meaning the latest unlocked Harken is zone 9) and Lulu pesters me to go visit the kennel guy to get a dog to save the girl who has already been saved.
The Gatekeeper is definitely dead and I can do the post-game quests for the Duke, etc.
Anyone else encountered this? It's making farming the cyclops bounty basically a non-possibility.

You need the inital handbook to unlock their class and then class change requests every time you want to swap between them. There was an event that was running that gave some but I think it's just expired. Priest yek was a big help for me in Guarda the first time and definitely worth swapping to learn the spells though you may end up wanting to go back because mages can do everything priests do once they learn the spells whilst also landing debuffs better and actually doing damage.

Mage Alice though will get one shot by all sorts of things in later abyss 3 floors unless you have discipline/inherits/bondmates propping up her tiny hp pool so be careful with that one (still worth doing eventually though)

I also gave her priest spells from alt inherits and a few of the past banners
also fine to just leave on the auto team for disarming
while she doesn't deal nearly as much dmg as shiou/yuzu the utility provided makes it easier to keep the others focused on doing dmg with their turns

My wheel is still missing both the fortress 2f minor harken flags and the soldiers room/second floor trap on the 3rd floor arrival branch.
If manually returning without wheel and turning in the evidence doesn't update something I just give up. Guess I am never doing those bounties..

Cyclops is a fight similar to demon. You spear and bow him. Because he starts in the backrows and likes to slam your backrow, his damage is shit if you keep him there. So just don't get succ'd by the succs and hit him hard enough before the succs die. Use openings as they do a huge chunk of damage

I unironically farm cyclops for bounty marks during my reset because I am used to the run anyway for the doll bondmate. Is a fun fight because of the rng nature so your moves are a bit different everytime. Sometimes he decides he really really want your frontline's catpussy and slams your Savia 3 times in a row, sometimes he spends all his time dicking the cows in the back and your approach varies a tiny bit.
