This is one the most weird cases I have seen regarding gacha releases.
It's clear that there was care and soul put in several aspects of this game like

However, at the same time, theres 100% souless shit like

It seems rather simple to explain. Yostar is incompetent heading up development. They do decent enough in publishing and the marketing field but don't let them anywhere near development.

Sounds like to me that all the developers that worked under Yostar had to wrangle them in somehow. And being independent companies rather than Yostar internal helped out a lot in that regard. Stella Sora is all internal so there's just no degree of separation to prevent Yostar's worse impulses.

They noticed their rate is higher than average gachas which is a fair but still retarded justification for the increased pull cost since gacha junkies almost certainly prefer having more rolls with low rate over high rate but they get less rolls, the spark/guarantee system also obviously favors the former so this pisses off even more people.

But their sin was revealing the CBT rate to everyone so gacha junkies flocks into it. Instead of "Wow this gacha is stingy!" now we have "wow the gacha was fucking amazing in closed beta test why the fuck they made it greedy now???". Then all of this blew up even harder while shitty CCs also join in the dooming.
The second sin is not giving out any event detail so no one can gauge the monthly f2p income.

Caramel - despite being a vanguard, just has terrible damage across the board and works better as a support and she is pretty shitty at that too.

I prefer using chixia as support since her support skill is super easy to do big damage, my main fire dps being flora since you can enable a gatling gun build with her and her hat skills good at ccing enemies in arena+devil survivor
