The ascension mat bosses feel so fucking bulky. Like they do no damage, but actually trying to meet the number required for time is almost impossible. Wish I understood how to actually build in this game to murder them.

I've played freesia, nanoha, minova, and mistique and I'd say freesia is the most fun of them; mistique is also pretty good but you generally want to run her as support. Nanoha I don't like too much since even her skill is just a buffed auto attack for a bit that you keep constantly active but people seem to enjoy her a lot so maybe I'm missing something, and minova just seems kind of underpowered and jank

World Flipper was pure mismanagement. Not monetization wise but game balance. They had an element gacha rate up (wind) and there was a raid that dropped free wind weapons that were really good. Too good. So they nerfed it AFTER the banner ended after players spent all their money on wind characters. Playerbase slowly died off and the game EOS eventually.

Honestly I think its pretty safe. Its going to have what most of these games lack, which is meaningful grinding. In a game like this you grind so that you can clear the higher stages so that you can get a few extra pulls, but those pulls are limited.
In DNA you will just be able to grind all day for new characters, dupes, etc.
I'm not even shilling for it, its just a fundamental problem with these games. I suggested that they make it possible to grind affinity from doing ascensions, and to add additional interactive scenes for characters at a high affinity level, but I doubt they will take my suggestion to heart unfortunately even though I think it would be a huge boon to player retention.

I really like how willing this game is to be mysterious, it adds so much to the story and the lore. Instead of dumping a bunch of info on you in the story you're just kind of dropped into a world where everything is already normal and left to piece together how things work as it progresses by context and bits of naturally delivered info. And there's loads of more long-term stuff like what the fuck the monoliths even are and how they operate and how MC's soul contracts function that's fun to think and theorize about
