It appears that everyone has unique moves in Rumble now that I unlocked the feature, but almost all the moves are the same. A invincible in place shield, a magnet, a dash. Though you have to collect them for each character use them.
But there are some differences, Rouge's boost damages players, while someone like Cream does not, but Cream gets two different boosts and one goes really far and let's her air dash.

A lot of the villains in IDW got jailed too after the Metal Virus, even Mimic was directly sent to jail by Tails. I think IDW is trying to maintain the whole, "Sonic leaves immediately after the adventure is over" thing (i.e SA1), without framing it too much like Sonic is leaving the post adventure legal mess for others to clean up.

I think it's only really been highlighted as an issue cause the story has actively put focus on it when beforehand no one really thought or cared about Sonic killing or not killing his enemies. Hell Sonic and Tails just shunting the Deadly Six back to the Lost Hex I didn't mind since that's at least somewhat of a solution to get rid of them but also I think most people would prefer that the villains are just to tough to be killed off normally instead of the heroes just let them go.

Yeah honestly Zavok has massively grown on me as a character and a villain. I've never minded his design since he's a cool monster but I think IDW and the Crossworlds interactions really did a lot to sell me on him as a villain by really giving him so much personality, plus I'm always a sucker for the massive bruiser who's also intelligent. I think what also helps is Zavok is an evil bastard but he has his own sense of honour and principles that let him evolve from being one note play contrast him with Dr Eggman.

No. In fact they're not even for all westerners. They're also not "Mandates". They're notes. There are some mandates for Sonic but for the most part we don't really know any of them officially.

These are mandates. As the name suggests, mandates are mandatory. You will never see these rules broken because Marvel will not allow Spider-man media to publish if it breaks these. None of the things described for Ian actually appear to be mandates. Just writing notes.


Sega is prone to giving Ian more notes than other writers because he gets "experimental". Evan has reported that she rarely ever gets notes on Shadow despite not being entirely confident in her own writing for him. The other Ian also didn't get any notes for how he characterized Shadow. Paramount has noted that it is mandatory that Shadow can't be a comedy focused character.

There was a time where Sonic being an alien was mandatory, noted by fowler. Sonc not asking for help was a characterization note given to Paramount, but not a mandate.
