getting all the class mounts wasn't really that much work back then
you can hardly even call it a grind
I went through all of the class hall campaigns before they even announced the flying mounts, just because I wanted to see all of the class hall campaigns
I assumed other people felt the same way, since that was pretty much the only feature Legion had and the only reason to even play the game
and then the additional stuff wasnt that much either

you had 9 years
you didn't know for the last 9 years that something like Lemix would eventually come along, so for 9 years you just didn't care enough to invest 5 minutes every couple of days into doing 1-2 emissaries
but you still care enough about it that you're now willing to go for it
if you need something like the drop from the dungeon boss for the druid hidden artifact skin, you're still gonna invest so much more time into getting that, if the drop chance is the same, that the reputation will seem like it didn't even matter
so if you really dont care, you still will never even get it

You can level characters extremely fast in lemix. Not everyone had alts of every class before this. It's faster to level a brand new character and do the entire class campaign on remix than it would take for a normal retail character to sit through all the mission table timegates.

by the time you get those, you'll already be exalted for a long time
when the rep was double, you could do two emissaries, the normal one for the zone and the kirin tor one, get 6000 rep through those alone, and then a lot of extra rep from the world quests
you'd get close to 10k rep in a couple of minutes
people were doing so much rep in legion, they had to introduce paragon reputation, and people were grinding rep like crazy for the shitty mounts that were dropping from the caches
some people have been doing them for years and have never gotten some of the mounts

The biggest thing they can do is make sure the critical path (straight line to every boss) is = 100%, some dungeons have this but I think its a good principle to follow (for example ToP is basically straight line dungeon except you need like 2 extra% because blizz is dumb). There SHOULD be room for skips etc, and the way they can accomplish this to satisfy both normies and sweats is by perhaps starting a dungeon with

Idk how bad you are but I could hit 1.8 on any spec with any race even never having played the class before. Racials do matter, like I main rogue and not being night elf for sin or law is massive but rogue racials are more important than other classes. Even then it’s not that huge and I could still prob hit my rating without it, but it would be noticeably harder. Solo shuffle is kinda weird people play pretty garbage even at 2.1-2.4k but they have found a strat and stick to it better than at lower ratings

Warlock is hard imo. It had the highest skill floor. I’ve seen healers go 0-6 and I think only warlocks go 0-6. Right now I think Destro is the best but warlock is hard. You need to know how to kite and fake cast which is more than say fury warrior where you basically just train one target. I would say for warlock just focus on figuring out how to kite and burst. The biggest difference is at 1.8k people don’t know how to do dam. Like swap when somebody pops wall. Cc healer and stun kill target right when your biggest damage spells are going to hit. Make peoples health chunk so they panic. I usually only play at that rating for a new char but what i notice is people just spam pve dam the whole game until the healer can’t heal anymore or they don’t trade and just flop.

I would recommend big debuffs and some form of dr tracker for your arena frames. I use gladiusx. Those are basically the only addons I use. After you can add Omnicc for teammate cds and omnibar for enemy cds but honestly you don’t really need them. Try big debuffs it’s a game changer. You don’t even have to set anything up.

Demo is good it’s just the meta is super fast right now so classes that can global you are king.

Casters like warlock work best when they can wizardcleave in the mage corner of arena like tol'viron. The issue is SS is meleecleave central, melee are excellent at stopping warlocks (especially warrior, which is the OG warlock counter), so you are left with something that just requires more effort than your typical melee or even your typical wizard (since many now barely cast spells)

funny you mention it because the game i stopped playing I fought against kolowave and i went 5-1 (shaman v druid matchup is a free win). Its more I know i have to play for more than 1 afternoon to get 2400 (i did 0-2100 in 1 sitting and i still dont have any pvp sockets for bloodstone), and I just don't want to play it anymore, pvp without friends isn't fun enough for me to play more. I also think soloshuffle at 2100 feels like 3s at 1700 rating, and ive been above 2300 in regular 3s.
