Hello users. Work continues on the server.

Thanks OP, it's kind of fitting that you made this thread the Dodge edition. After some playtesting, Dodge is now back in action as a functional mechanic, and entities can now dodge basic attacks. There's still a few minor things to follow up on, but should be taken care of eventually.

Updates today:
- Dodge is now implemented. Dodge rune enjoyers, weird Shaco builders, and of course, the old Jax mains, rejoice!

- Miss is also implemented more appropriately, now that Dodge is in. Entities can miss their attacks if they are successfully dodged, or under the effects of Teemo's Blinding Dart (Q).

- Items that grant Dodge stats can now correctly grant them (such as the Ninja Tabi)

- Items that grant %MS bonus now correctly grant it (such as Zeal)

- With dodge restored, Ninja Tabi's passive auto attack damage reduction from 1.0.0.132 onwards has been disabled and removed

- With Dodge back, Jax has been fully restored to functional status. His Counter Strike (E) now appropriately functions, enabling the user to cast it after a successful dodge.

- Poppy Bot BehaviorTree created. Poppy Bot now able to be added to matches. No, the BTs do not have code useful for checking walls, so she'll just knock you away like Alistar does. She is pretty strong once she gets to 6.

I have spent a lot of the spare time I spend on the server code poring over the BTs, in an attempt to create more. In chats with another developer, we felt it necessary to further spend time creating more functioning bots, as it would more easily allow a singular dev to test and debug spell interactions across the wide Champion pool. The more of them we can have bashing about the Rift, the potential for more bugs to be spotted and spat out into the console.

Hopefully I can make at least one or two more over the weekend, if time permits.

Again, this is the 126 target, Jax has already been reverted to the correct state as listed in my prior update log. Sivir's Dodge is still here as she is mostly based on the 126 scripts. She has other problems to work out unrelated to dodge.

The only things not implemented related to Dodge are:

New Fiddle: overall 52% WR, 5% ban.
clear speed +15–20%

Passive effigies = free vision + ambush setups.
Q fears 1.2–2s (stealth bonus) locks targets.
W tethers + 25–55% heal
E slashes + silences 1.25s -> stops counters during ult channel.

Kit flows: fear -> drain -> silence -> ult.

Character animation is top tier, has an animation for each run cycle+homeguard has two forms of auto-attack, ranged with magic and using the scythe at close range, very few characters in league had this much care with animation detail, even less, two types of auto-attacks.

Subjectively:
The Scythe slash looks fucking raw, so fucking satisfying and better looking than the lame half-moon, the ult is a fucking jumpscare now, especially if the SFX audio of the enemy is high. Effygies jumpscare enemies from time to time, it's just fun to see, especially since you can pretend to be an effigy, how cool is that mechanic? Did old Fiddle had anything remotely as fun or creative as this?

The 26 patch has enough content and base goodness to allow people to play custom 5v5s and thats all that matters. The respective server admin and friends decide whats included or not.

Once thats up and running people can come out with custom patches / balances / content / maps / anything their hearts desire. And best part, you AINT FORCED to use them if you dont like. Not like these retarded patches every 2 months where they clusterfuck the game any chance they get.

Btw getting this done aint rocketscience. The devs dont gotta be 2 million iq ascended gods to simply hammer away at the code over a long period of time and iron out the bugs. Most of the server issues are cause of the abilities programmed by a bunch of troglodyte web devs who don't understand that you shouldn't spam async and recursion at every opportunity.

I've had my hands full testing contributions from other developers, while poring my dev time into working out the Bot BTs.

Updates since last posting:
- Udyr's bonus stacking Dodge from his passive, Monkey's Agility, is now implemented

- Cooldown reduction should function appropriately now, as it is now correctly handled as a negative number. The project formerly had a bunch of cruft in it trying to use the CDR stat as a positive value, hence the problems. It has been resolved. CDR now also properly caps at 40%.

- Veigar Bot BehaviourTree created. The handling for his E is quite basic, but as Veigar is a pretty basic champion kit-wise, the Veigar bot has no trouble blasting the entirety of its keyboard onto an enemy Champion.

- The weird Dropbox code used by former CotG devs for replay uploading has been removed. Makes no sense to have this gunk embedded in the game server, when it should be handled externally.

- The basic and quite poor multi-version support left behind by former CotG devs has also been removed entirely. The focus is on the 126 target, and as explained to me by another developer, this multi-version system was made very crudely. Targeting another version is a conversation for the future, once things are more stable.

If you have the free time to waste complaining, or worse, pretending to be me and spouting a bunch of needless garbage and creating false arguments, you have the free time to contribute. The more hands that develop, the more progress that can be made.

weeks ago I tried to do it to learn editing champ data, here is the result: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJffNspC2bc
riven being really buggy isn't from my changes, what I did was the following:
- given riven all of ahri's mana stats (mana itself, mana growth, mana regen)
- divided ahri q's mana cost by 3, and used each for 1 riven q use, so in total if you use all 3 of them then it would be equal to 1 ahri q (slightly more because it doesn't divide equally and I rounded up)
- ahri E mana cost on riven W since they are both cc and should cost more
- ahri W mana cost on riven E since both cost low amounts
- ahri R mana cost on riven R
- not in this video but you can see that the mana bar shows up as gray, I think that's some kind of default when the engine doesn't know what's up and the data doesn't match, by editing the game client files as well I was able to get the mana bar in the interface to be blue, but the one above riven was still gray, I don't know how to fix that

using ahri's stats as a base was a good start, if the server was more stable and less buggy I'd further tweak this and figure out how to add custom items as well, but for now I will wait until the project gets to a slightly better state

Pretty sure that's a symptom of the server's pathfinding issue. I've noticed it only really happens with melee champions. It happens a lot on towers but it's consistency seems to be related to specific towers as well as the minion spread around that tower.

My guess is that when you try to attack something as a melee champ, the game tries dropping a pathfinding waypoint at an unreachable coordinate, causing the champion to just not path there. If you can manage to move close enough to the target before actually targeting them you'll start attacking them.

So running the debug build with the PDB file in IDA showed me this, idk about any of this stuff, but wouldnt this let anyone with enough talent to fix some things based on the original riot code?

the config file for each champ has a value that sets the type of mana, the one that riven had was for no mana.
what's weird is that there is both a config file in the actual game client and another duplicate in the server, my understanding is that the one in the server is used for values that need constant updates while the one in the client only takes values on game start.
even though I had set the mana type to normal or whatever it was called in the server file while it worked the bar in the interface was gray which I think is the default for when the game doesn't know what's going on.
after copy pasting it into the client file as well it changed to blue.
the only inconvenience is that you have to change the inibin to ini, and for the server they can both be in same folder and ini will have priority so you can keep the original as well, but for the client inibin takes priority.

Hello users. Another week, more development. I have spent most of my free dev time on testing contributions from other developers, which is sorely needed when large portions of the logic or underlying systems are changed. Slowly but surely the gunk is getting cleaned out.

Updates this week:
- Basic attack overrides (such as Teemo's Toxic Shot) can now correctly be dodged and missed (under the effects of Blind etc)

- Fixes to the way ChainMissiles work, so spells like Ryze's E, Yi Q, and Fiddle E should now behave better

- A large change to the internal logic on how the buff update calls are handled. We've spent some time testing this, but there could still be some outlier spells and items behaving oddly. If you find one, please report it on the issue board.

- Manamune's mana-stacking from auto-attacks has now been properly added (it still grants mana stacks on ability-cast as it should)

- Wit's End passives have now been restored and are functional

- Master Yi's Highlander (R) now correctly refunds a portion of his spell cooldowns on a successful assist while Highlander is active. In doing this we have found and preserved an original spell script bug with 1.0.0.126.

- We now have CI/CD, or, an automatic build pipeline. What that means for end users (as well as alternative launcher developers) is that now instead of having to learn how to compile new builds yourself, you can download the latest compiled builds of the server directly from the repository. You can stay up-to-date with the latest changes made easily.
