Did you summon for anyone on this year's Bridal banner? Or this year's Fallen Banner?

I had Grails and Feathers to spare so this morning I just kind of +9'd Panette, and I can get her last merge when she reruns
This is far from her optimal build, as I had just been giving her whatever random 5* fodder that I ended up coming across (particularly Ascended Ced or an extra Edward), but what are some good skills I should be giving her? Probably Gust at least?
I'll also plan on giving her Tempo Echo from the manuals eventually

Eirika technically shouldn't really need flat DR since vantage is her gimmick, she could keep using D bonus doubler just fine. But since sometimes oneshotting can be hard even when facing nukes, you can opt for something different.
If you have Fallen Alear she can safely drop NCD echo and use DC echo instead. Then you can run her with Excel for the flat DR or Finish for the +5 true damage and healing.

Ninja Zelgius was lacking both flat DR and passive percentage DR pierce (Special Spiral 4 is an option for the latter but he is susceptible to Scowl effects)
Assault Fighter fixes both of those issues now at least, and his weapon is still good by merit of being a -1 Special weapon that strikes twice

I honestly don't think they can make the game significantly worse anymore. The meta already swarms with units who can teleport all over the map in unpredictable ways and canto back to where they started, perform a gazillion actions per turn, are unkilleable but will kill on retaliation at any distance, heal themselves afterwards, hand out insane status effects to all allies like candy, etc etc. Prfs are now entire kits in their own right, nobody (safe for pm) bothers reading skill descriptions, nor does anybody bother really planning ahead anymore, since the effort to do so is completely disproportionate compared to just winging it. It all boils down to having access to the most recent powercreep anyway. Can't deal with BK/Snek/Ike/whatever? Get fucked and wait for the next round of bullshit in two weeks' time and try to catch up then. This is rock bottom. The names and artwork change, but the principle of a braindead overcentralized meta will always remain the same now and in the future.

LHBs and MHBs used to be fun especially when using old outdated gen 1 units.
But nowadays every unit is too strong that you either have to hyper invest into your shitter unit so they can deal a whopping 1 dmg or forget about fun and just clear the map with modern units.

You say that and then the geniuses at IS find the next skill that they inconceivably shove into their golden goose money printer that makes the game so unplayable and frustrating you want to smash your phone and tear your hair out. I do get your point though. The speed at which the new best unit in the game 1 v 1200s the entire FEH roster isn't gonna get any faster than it is now. Every month at least introduces a couple new best in weapon + move type units if not the new best unit. You can't beat that pace and the new best units don't last long so the "meta" is always new thing wins so in that sense it can't get worse because it's always new thing wins.
With that said let me make it worse. New once per month banner type that introduces a new unit type that does something akin to Emblems but we shove in another gimmick on top of that so they're another step up in utility+powercreep that better incentivises +10'ing. Sub 1% chance to roll one, paid orbs only, FEH Pass subscription only, no spark, you get the idea. They only show up once a year. Pay me IS.

Brave and Potent are really good for breaking through some defensive mechanics that only work with a certain amount of hits and Miracle, and it can be really good on Hardy Bearing Saves to ensure they get an extra hit in before the enemy can. It gives a bit more atk and spd than blutgang, negates relevant penalties on the user and bonuses on enemies while blutgang doesn't.
Blutgang does have tempo but it barely matters imo, and it also grants 7 flat DR but it's pretty useless. Its true damage does affects AoEs making it better than Hades omega for builds that rely on AoEs.

It's readily obvious that a tank meta is far more damaging than a nuke meta, so why pretend otherwise? In the nuke meta, at least you can try to kill the enemy nuke before it kills your own nuke. In the tank meta, if you don't have the specific counter needed to break past the enemy statball, you can't do anything at all. Which is far more upsetting than anything Reinhardt could ever do. However, Erk provides the NFU status, and he can also provide Treachery (for more damage) and Canto 1 (self explanatory) for magic allies
His combat is also okay since he would get the NFU and Treachery for himself, he's got Flared Sparrow so he can do a bit of extra damage and set up flame terrain, and he also has the 50% DR pierce effect which is still a fairly premium effect, and is thus very uncommon on free/accessible units
