A floating tagku can easily get clapped, especially when vegito and y7s always kill before he gets any stacks. You have to keep him on for a while, while balancing stacks with the others. Gods and floaters die in the last phases regardless of stacks, which is why you need to plan rotations and actives to keep them safe. I meant that if you don't stack damage for other units, you're relying on vegito for everything.
You only need to consider these things at all because of the turn limit, otherwise you just bring some low damage shitters and have unlimited turns to turtle and whittle down the last phases while invincible. It's literally the only thing that forces any strategy at all.

I think nuBroly will end up like Hit in festival where he's obviously "good" for it but ends up doing too much damage too fast to the point where it's detrimental. The 10th anni LRs, 7th EZAs, and even GB + Z and Blue duo all have ways to hold back and build up somewhat gradually, but Broly and Hit do not. Dropping 60m attack stats with near-guaranteed crits too early just means you either deny the rest of the team stacks or you hide them so they don't one shot early phases and never end up building to their potential - which is why you brought them in the first place

Just finished the festival mission. My team was:
AGL Gogeta (79%)
TEQ Vegito (79%)
EZA PHY SS4s (100%)
New TEQ Broly (55%)
AGL Scouter Vegeta (69%)
EZA INT Broly (100%)

Used two Bulmas and two Whis. Focused mainly on getting the Brolys and Vegeta built up to be safe. Rotated the rest focusing on defense until around 8th anni LR bosses and then switched to mostly offense. I cut it a little tight on the Daima bosses but blew Gogeta and Vegito away in like 2 turns each. I kept using scouters to put new broly in front of supers wherever I could. I used both Whis to let my slightly understacked TEQ Vegito live a turn without the active and to keep INT Broly alive against Gogeta. Went pretty well. TEQ Broly is pretty insane near the end

VT lead + friend in slot one (obviously), SSJ4 Gogeta stacking on one rotation while TEQ Vegito stacks defense until around 4 million on the other. Goku/Gohan, SSJ4 Goku, and AGL Gogeta stacking defense as my floaters
I think at this point I just need to pop a bulma at the SSJ Goku stage because no matter what i do my damage is lacking by just a bit

i can't believe this but my best run in festival has been GT Heroes with double PHY Gogeta.

You can make festival actually fun in that you just do a total amount of charges, or simply make the enemy's health check at the end of the round.
Losing stacks from early phases gets you fucked in later ones because of how "strict" the time limits are.

rotation 1: gogeta and vegito
rotation 2: gogeta and monkeys
After you stack about 3.5m def (about 4m in offensive form), stack attack on all fusions, including agl gogeta. This will help clear later phases without fusing monkeys early. Scouter fish starting from fat buu and tag if needed.
Make sure that gogeta 4 finishes off daima. If he's on their turn 1, hold back your damage, then finish turn 3. If he's on their turn 2, pop gogeta active and kill them.
You want the vegito rotation on turn 1 of gogeta phase. Pop both fusions but DONT active. Use a whis and take out most of gogeta's health with passive counters, then finish next turn with gogeta 4. Then pop both actives for vegito and 1 turn him. You might take out gogeta in 1 turn without active, but whis will protect the monkeys rotation for 1 turn against vegito.
Pop the first bulma on turn 1 or 2 of phy goku, 10 turns from there should be enough.

Here's another setup that basically cant lose. Even with the worst rng, where you have to pop both 10th year actives against daima, you can just stall with whis and icarus until your other vegito against vegito. The first vegito will still chunk gogeta without his active.
