Why wouldn't they? It's not like the systems updated. If you get any modern flashcart it's less convenient on the DS since it doesn't autoboot (I think this is how the exploit gets around DSi and 3DS?) and instead requires you to tap the game before loading into the menu. If you're bothered by Activity Log tracking on the newer systems this gets really old, really fast because you'll have tens of thousands of hours on one single title because of it.

Seriously though, mod your 3DS. No one uses flashcarts on them for a reason.

It can do 3x integer GBA which 480p systems can't do, but if you're focused on GBA then the 34XXSP is a no-brainer, MUCH better screen for GBA integer in particular, which is what you'd expect for a GBA SP clone. And if you're talking 2x integer for 240p 4:3 content, sure it can do that, but 480p systems like the 28XX and 35XX SP are better at it because they can do 240p integer without black borders, which the Miyoo can't because of that resolution, again a big problem this time due to the fact that the screen is already so small. So it's very not perfect and actually kinda sucky for 2x integer.

Go for the 34XX SP, it's still a 480p display just in 3:2 instead of 4:3 aspect ratio. Classic shit like SNES, Genesis, and PS fit great, you just have the smallest, most manageable pillarboxes you're likely to find anywhere. Still a bigger image than on a Miyoo Mini due to the screen size difference., plus the 34XX SP can use shaders, can play PS1 at full speed, and has operating system options that aren't terrible, which is more than can be said for Miyoo.

Having an annoying problem on my 353m thats stopping me from playing DS games.
Drastic runs at full speed but the touch input is all fucked up and always jumps to the top left corner .

If you're asking about ergonomics I personally had to 3D print a grip it was that painful to play for more than an hour with it.
PS1 games that don't require you to press L2/R2 are fine, but as soon as you're asked to press L2/R2 the stacked shoulders do not feel good at all to use.
The sticks are just Switch Joycon sticks but they've got some issue with the deadzones that I believe Knulli fixes but I'm not sure if anything else does, and even then it can't be fully fixed due to reasons I can't remember. Actually using them ergonomically also doesn't feel great.
The d-pad feels like you're pushing your thumb on the edge of a table, it's very hard plastic but it's okay, same with the rest of the buttons.

I'd personally recommend the RG40XX-H if you want an H model and you're expecting to play a PS1 game that uses L2/R2 or the sticks. If you're just doing games with the d-pad and face buttons with minor usage of the sticks the RG35XX-H is fine, there's no issues with that, it's when you have to use them extensively that the thing shows its flaws.

Also side by side with the rp5 screen like this, the kinda crappy PWM frequency of the mini and classic screens becomes apparent.
Above 60% brightness is fine, any less and my eyes start feeling dry.

It's an alright device, but you're way better off getting something that provides more bang for your buck. Chinkhelds are cheaper and more flexible in terms of use case, though you can hack the Analogue Pocket if you really wanted to (but why bother?). You can fall back on the Deck if you want something with superior build quality, but the tradeoff is that it's larger than most traditional handhelds.

I assume chinkhelds are improving in quality over time. I just can't speak to that, myself.

Size and shape is the most important part for me.
I love my 'eck (simple as) but it's not as comfortable to play below ps2 systems on it. Having dedicated handheld for those retro systems that's around vita or gameboy size feels more natural if I'm not playing the system on TV. How's PC emulation doing in these handhelds? I know there are a few options out there, and I've even tried some on my phone. Unfortunately, I've got a Mediatek chip so the experience was pretty bad and very limited. Is it anywhere close to something like a Steam Deck now? I'm not asking for much really, just to play games from before 2012 and some indies.
I was thinking about getting the RP G2, but if it's still too rough, I might just go for an x86 handheld like the ROG Ally Xbox At 6 TDP it can run PS2 decently for about 6 and a half hours, and I'd still have all the benefits of x86.
I know the comparison is stupid, but I'm adjusting it to my (Autist AF) particular situation.

On the used market maybe, but Retroid is still selling RP4Ps for $150 plus an additional $15 for the "optional" grip while the Mangmi Air X is selling for $90 on their official website. That's not taking into account either that the screen on the RP4P is rough for retro games, it's a 4.7" 1334 x 750 screen vs a 5.5" 1080p panel. Even if you aren't running 3D games at that native resolution, you're still getting more screen estate for 4:3 content on the whole and you don't need to buy a grip for it to feel comfortable.
You also need to take into account the costs of shipping and taxes. Ultimately paying $90 + additional fees for a budget handheld vs $165 or $215 + additional fees is a lot more palatable, especially if you only want to play up to upscaled PSP/Dreamcast games on the go and emulate everything else or play other games on your home set up.
