It's supposed to be a sprite of Alice Lidell as she appears in the VN section of BS2's DLC3.
I'd like to get my hands on a finished version of this sprite sheet for reasons.
I found it in an old download at arca.live featuring the characters from their general content mod for BS2. It seems to be a sprite they never finished and eventually just scrapped because it's not in the latest download of said mod.
Or I could be wrong and there IS a finished version somewhere. I looked into the arca.live Black Souls community as much as I could, but I haven't found anything more than this unfinished sheet.

So anyway I just wanted to know if any of you have ever seen a finished version of picrel, that's all. Cheers.

Yeah, it is.
As a matter of fact, one of the early farming spots in BS2 is also a Wonderland-like area with rabbits.
It's a bit more balanced than BS1's Wonderland though since there's different types of rabbits which adds a random factor to the grind, to enter you need an item that you get just a few copies of per cycle, and the rabbits there don't respawn until you leave the map and enter again, but still.

BS1 is fine for what it is. It has some pretty big flaws but I can forgive a lot when a game is shorter than even Chrono Trigger (and I mean doing no side content, just the main story of CT).
BS2 does a lot to expand on the things 1 does right, while MOSTLY not repeating what it did wrong (I say mostly because I think there is one aspect of its combat that it objectively does inferior to 1)

The general answer you'll get from most people is the plot. Said plot only truly starts to show itself at the end of the first game though, so about 10 hours deep into it, and BS2 is a direct sequel to the events of BS1 even if it doesn't seem like it at first. The gameplay in both games isn't hard to break if you're any good at JRPGs, and grinding is a virtual non-issue since there's places in both games to farm your ass off and ways to spike your power up even without grinding, to speak nothing of how you can beat both games at SL1 without the usage of colored souls if you know what you're doing. The only time there's anything remotely technical in BS's gameplay is in BS2's DLC 3, but by that point you should have already learned the basic gameplay mechanics and have enough shit on hand to not make it a huge problem. If you refuse to learn, you will probably get filtered there though.

I saw a pic of Cheshire Cat and liked the artstyle, and the later started to play the game because it was recommended to me a bunch of times and because of this pic only to later find out they are from the same game. Second game is the reason I like this series so much. Atmosphere, characters, non-linear exploration and so on. The second game is really good at giving off a lonely feeling. Game's plot is also great and I really appreciate hidden little interactions like JubJub and the Chick, Dodo bucket, Kuti beach invasion and so on. Then you think back on the snowman's words, Pickett, Lorina, Twins, JubJub and it all starts to click at the end of the game, leaving you wanting more and making my opinion on the game and it's story skyrocket .

Soul. This game is not pretentious, it doesn't try to convene some deeper ideas or meaning. It's a dark fantasy porn jrpg with dark souls mechanics. It doesn't try to be anything more, but it executes these themes very well. It puts you in this fantasy world built on top of various classical fables and you are free to do anything you want, you can become a hero who saved the world or you can be an evil lord with harem of slave girls. I like the agency, it's honest, brutal, but also interesting to explore. And it is also by no means shallow, all of this nicely ties to its endings like some other anon said.
The jrpg gameplay is rather basic but pretty fun to engage and exploit. You don't really need to grind and there are designated grind spots that can make you overpowered in minutes. You are only expected to understand basic jrpg mechanics, you can beat whole game with literally one of many good(game breaking) strategies that aren't hard to figure out. It's not like this kind of thematic games need sophisticated mechanics anyway, people obsess over things lay Andy and Leyley, Undertale or Miside despite them being basically press Z/E until you beat the game.

Did we even play the same game? The game executes many of the same tricks employed by modernists and pomos. Fragmented, nonlinear narrative, confused identity, heavy use of intertextuality, ergodic elements, and more. It's closer to Pynchon's playful turbidity than Tolstoy's translucence.
It never reaches the same level of difficulty as something like V, let alone GR, but plenty of anons end the game confused about its events and need an explanation about the timeline and who is who. Some never even realise Prickett's true identity.

The artwork was what first caught my attention too, playing it afterwards filled the void DS1 left in me all those years ago and it fixed the only issue I had with it, the lack of a real plot. Getting to the endings sealed the deal. And then the sequel did it again but bigger and better.

There is 0 grind required, it's all in the equipment and spells which you can find while exploring, but if you still get stuck somewhere there are farming rings and rabbits in Wonderland exist as walking soul banks for people who just want to get to the end. As for the mechanics, all you really need to know is if something can be parried - parry, if you can't - dodge, and if it is unavoidable - defend, for my it was all very intuitive but I did play a few jrpgs in my life.

Why did this game become so popular? It's just a clone of Dark Souls with a touch of European fairy tales. It's even less interesting when you realize that the world order is based on Lovecraft myths, the effect of mysticism and lore is immediately lost. I am playing Amayui right now. I like animated sprites, tetris buildings and some QoL, but it does feel like a downgrade in many aspects. The mission list and information tabs are useless now. Being able to upgrade everything is nice, but gets grindy fast. Kamidori upgrade system was much more interesting and flexible even if it was just armors. Having just one super generic deredere girl is boring and the whole plot is kind of lackluster. Instead of living in a city that you gradually get to know and raise in power within, you just go from village to village, fighting new enemy of the week, one girl wants to join, other girl wants to fuck, rinse and repeat. As I progress through this game I get an urge to just play Kamidori NG+, but I will probably finish this first.

Moonlight Greatsword is arguably the best weapon in BS1 because weapons simply haven't gotten yet the broken effects they do in 2, it lets you attack 3 times on one target with its first move, and its damage scales off of both attack and magic instead of just one.
The problem is getting it takes a while unless you know the very specific route to speedrun getting it, and even then if that's your plan then the white dragon is kinda hard to kill that early.

3-5k is the minimum for stats. It's mostly dependent on how good you are at manipulating the pros of your equipment, especially for damage output.
Too be blunt it's a lot of experimenting unless you just want to be told what the best builds are. The worse you are at doing that, the more raw stats you'll think need.

You should beat the Chaos Dungeon before doing DLC 3 for plot purposes. DLC 3's "recommended" stat levels are 10k - 20k, but the entire DLC has been beaten at SL1 Difficulty 9 without the usage of colored souls, really it's all just a check on how well you actually understand the combat system and the tools you have already. Even then, you can still ignore a lot of fuckery and burn through most of the bosses with overwhelming firepower fairly quickly once you understand their gimmicks.

It's not a matter of "just" putting the old music in, broskis.
You have to edit each event where the tracks are used and update the Play BGM command.
If you just threw in the old Cheshire Cat track as it was in the older copies of the game, a genie wouldn't come out of a bottle to update picrel for you.

Alternatively, you can paste the old tracks and then give them the filenames of the new ones, which is also valid and what I imagine that hero without cape did.

That's handled by a script called "ネームウィンドウ", so it should be inside the Scripts.rvdata2 file.
