Not sure. The tumult they went through over their last lead wanting to ram through the ODF map in the last minute really disorganized the place and I don't know if they've recovered yet. Well I looked it up real quick and there are petroleum resources in Nigeria, but most of them are... West of the third scenari's border. Cameroon has a mining industry but nothing that's really interesting. All maps I looked at were contemporary too and refining capabilities in the 60s would be a lot less developed.

So no it just seems like a pretty irrelevant border skirmish all things considered. I guess if there are some resources there then whoop dee doo, a company from America or Japan now has a contract for resource exploitation in the future, riveting. RAM, probably. HOI4 isn't optimized in a way that eats tons of CPU. But it's more of an optimization problem on their end since both mods have a gorillion tags that all send out millions of things that need to be updated every in-game hour. It's mostly things like the state of ministers and not giga bloat GUIs like TNO does, but it definitely adds up. All of these are poorly optimized in HOI4 itself but you never notice it in vanilla because vanilla uses these things a lot more sparingly and have a fraction of the tags TFR and KX do.

Just going to second what the other anon said but add some caveats for both.
TNORA is stable as concrete and uses the Atlantropa map. It's pre-TT and made by just one guy. But since it's just one guy working through KF and updating via proxy to Steam, it has limited reach and isn't in the best of spots.

2WRW uses the old post-Atlantropa map. They had a bumpy track record until earlier in the year when they stopped trying to be like TNO and focused on wars instead of minigames. They're just coming out of a Czar moment after a realism/TNO shill clique tried to force them to use the new map and reintegrate into TNO. The bad guys lost and their old lead, Gopher, stepped down, but a lot of its contents got delayed over it.

So essentially: They're a bit shaky but if 2WRW puts out Omsk and manages to keep the realismfags out that's your best bet.
If the realismfag coup attempt really screwed them over then stick with TNO Rides Again especially if you like Atlantropa and the old economy system.

Because their team is completely despised by all other teams and communities (including their own) and because they can't behave like actual people, we segregate them from the rest of us.

TFR doesn't get a containment thread because it's an actual HOI4 mod with actual content and they release updates that are relevant to the HOI4 community.

I guess you could make Starbase TX an independent city state(IRL they recently became their own municipality), but considering that Starbase is right on the Mexican border, it would be occupied/destroyed long before it's fully operational. Maybe you could have Musk take a deal from a South American nation to relocate Starbase to their country and start over from scratch? Same. I prefer playing as smaller tags than larger ones myself. My only gripe with that one is that you'd have to spend an absurd amount of time just waiting through to actually fight. But maybe if the two tags could take a more proactive role ahead of the GAW, if some new minor conflicts ahead of it were added that they could participate in, that'd be good. I could see more involvement during the Taiwan war perhaps with a limited war breaking out between them before the GAW depending on levels of doubling down.
