Patriot path is an Authoritarian Democracy with a light cult of personality surrounding Trump. Dark MAGA is far more nationalistic with a huge cult of personality surrounding Trump (at least I think that's the difference between the paths, could end up being wrong.)

Might be too larpy, but I hope the Dark MAGA path features a monarchy subpath. Mainly because the final focus is called "King of Kings" and the focus icon is Trump wearing noble attire.

Also make sure to build AA in Trump's territory before the 2ACW kicks off, and after it does you can do decisions on the map to build some more. Winning the election and doing the focuses definitely helps make things easier, but losing isn't a total loss since there's a focus that gives you 10k guns at the start of the war.
