This is all to say that we are entering the age of Aquarius. Some people say we have already entered it, others say we are standing at the mouth of it, but everyone agrees the world is changing. It wouldn't annoy me so much if it wasn't personal, as I have family who believe in all this shit despite attempts to reason with them and offer alternatives. These stories provide a projecting medium for one's psychological state, and in the religious form, it traps this state in a place of unfulfilled expectation, where introspecting activities are stalled. In my view you could say the events have always been being fulfilled in some sense, like a self-fulfilling prophecy. As for a big divine plan, I can't comment for or against that except to say that it seems unwise to learn too much towards the literal interpretation because I think it denies human agency and heavily risks going into the territory of confirmation bias.
