oblivion has some pretty broken magic tho, with spellcrafting. that said, your taste is still valid obviously. if you want to be an anti-mage in oblivion i recommend getting gear with enchantments that boost resistence to magicka and a weapon with a silence enchantment, you'll absolutely annihilate spellcasters by tanking their spells and cucking them out of being able to cast anything after you hit them with the weapon

Yeah I think so, I barely played Noita but if I remember right there's a lot of experimentation there too.

Basically there's beam, projectile, sword, armor...maybe another one like a radius I forget.

Then ice, fire, death, life, earth, wind (I think) and then all the mobs have different attacks and resistances.
So as you play you're fucking around figuring out what works and what sucks. So cool.

oh i forgot to mention, beyond resistance to magicka you could also do absorb magicka, which does the same thing except it also fills your magicka bar when a spell hits you, or even reflect spell, which does as the name suggests and sends their spell back at them

these are all status effects that they either nerfed or entirely removed in skyrim btw, bethesda thinks cool magic effects are lame i guess
